Awaken The Berserker(Finale)

Category 2, while powerful, was not capable of even leaving a mark on the armor that Feng wore and Rowan knew that before he used it but just like the rest of the spells, it was how he could use it. The combination of category 2 and storm steps allowed him to reach insane speeds thanks to riding the lightning in the clouds. Rowan's eyes on the other hand had gotten more and more vibrant but now a red ring could be seen in the center of each eye as it bled into the rest of the eye and it mixed with the cyan next to it so that his eyes currently were three rings of color.

The inner ring was cyan, the ring behind that a bright vermillion and the final ring was the fluorescent purple reminiscent of the storm that he became with Akari. The red was bleeding into the cyan though and with each passing moment there was more and more vermillion and less cyan while the purple was slowly creeping up on the vermillion. Rowan, though, was unaware that even the cyan of his mana had begun to be slightly altered thanks to the same changes that were taking place.

The lightning in the clouds managed to be all three colors at once, while the wind blades had become the same hue. Instead of just cyan rain water though, there was cyan rain water, vermillion blood, and bioluminescent purple rain water. The storm had begun to mutate the instant he used the skill, but at the same time, thanks to Berserker's trance, this wasn't something that Rowan could even notice. His abilities were magnified by his mana body. His mana was circulating through his entire body, making him feel invincible while at the same time subjecting it to the same mutations that his body had recently gone through, including the slight mutation to his body.

Rowan had the fairy wings come from his back as the top pair of falcon wings were still cyan, but the pair under them were a mixture of vermillion and purple. The wings crackled with lightning and Rowan vanished. His speed was so fast that without berserkers trance he would have no clue how to even operate his body at this speed. He flapped the wings once and was in front of Feng. He threw a punch and Feng thought that thanks to his armor he would be able to meet it but he was wrong. His stats were not distributed the same as Rowans, not by far and in this case, his rather normal bloodline was already being suppressed by Rowan's primogenitor line. The fists collided and Feng got blown backwards like a rag-doll.

He flipped backward and let the momentum carry him to his shield and sword, which were planted into the ground. He snatched both and stomped on the ground, shattering the ground and stopping his momentum. Rowan let the storm spin and he dove into the clouds, creating a ring for the two of them. Lightning poured toward Feng as he smashed his sword to the shield and created a ring of light that stopped the lightning from touching him. Rowan shot out from behind him, the spear aimed at a spot on his lower back.

He shot forward and scored the slash, but Feng had been wanting him to expose himself like this the entire time. He swung his shield and bashed it into Rowan, the shield so big in its tower form that his whole body was caught in the blow. He imagined this is what it would feel like to be hit by a train. The clouds on his shirt pulled him backwards into the spell category 2 when Rowan realized he was rather out of tricks, so he would have to create more to catch Feng unaware.

Feng grunted as blood flowed from the wound. He had underestimated that Rowan would mix himself among the lightning to appear from wherever he wanted. He fixed his eyes on Rowan with a grin under his visor.

"This still is not enough. You are still holding back. So if you want to just hide behind your speed, then allow me to take that from you." [Dusk] Feng slammed his sword into his shield and the world lost all of its color and it was just black and white. Then the colors flowed back into Feng and he slammed the two together again. A ring of mana with him as the center shot out and anything it touched it would simply pull apart. The road turned back to dirt. The wave was pure black and white annihilation.

The clouds were demolished, but when it smashed into Rowan, there was no such unmaking effect. Instead, it was like his entire body now had the added mass of everything that had been destroyed in the vicinity. He took a single step and fell to his knees thanks to the added weight. Feng began to slowly approach him. "Dusk is a self-created spell, darkness destroys and tears apart everything nearby, then I meld it with light mana so that it touches everything while all animate objects are completely unaffected. Now, if you happen to be a living being, then the waves of light transport the debris into your shadow, creating a weight that slows you down."

The clouds had been demolished so he couldn't use the rain or lightning to leash himself away and he had no clue how to get rid of this added weight. Feng approached slowly and steadily the entire time he struggled to move. "I told you I was support, but I'm not someone who sits in the back making sure everyone is alright. I control the battlefield, I make it a world of black and white and play chess. Some have referred to me as the controller. My tutors refer to me as the chess king." Feng slowly lowered himself to where Rowan was kneeling on the ground, still struggling with the weight until they were eye level through the visor. "That's who I am, Rowan Raid. Now tell me, who are you?"

Rowan never got to answer though, as Feng slammed his head into the ground with enough force to crater the ground. Then he did it again, and again, over and over. His face became a bloody mess before long as he spit out a tooth at some point. "Tell me who you are or lose like a dog Rowan Raid. I expected better of you." He slammed his head down once more and left him there as he retrieved his sword. "You were supposed to be great, someone worthy of being my friend, I guess I was wrong, and if this is how weak you are, then I should kill you now before you become a zombie and they make use of everything you're wasting."

He picked Rowan up from his hair and held his neck over his sword as he stared down at him. "My master told me of a tier zero that consumed her zombie parasite and became a new race here, unfortunately she can't be left alive too much of a chance that she joins the zombies, I'll have to go hunt her down when I'm done here, you are too weak to matter and without knowing who you are , you are too limited, your so pitiful that even your mana can't decide what its supposed to look like and it's your own goddamn mana."

Rowans mind had blanked after Feng spoke ongoing to kill the other tier zero and in an instant the insanity that his mind had been wracked with thanks to him going too far with berserkers trance seemed to vanish as his body began to rapidly change while still in Feng's hands. His hair turned into a fluorescent purple, so that his long curls looked like deep space itself. The lines that flowed along his body did the same as his body began to shed its skin and, for all of this possible, causing Feng to let go of him and back up.

[Gift Triggered, partial metamorphosis has finally been complete.]

[Comment: Akari, queen of the vampires, imparted to you the gift of the berserker by stripping it from herself. She did so with the knowledge that while there may be side effects, the end result would outweigh that. In having sex with the host, she directly gave you not only a part of her bloodline, but part of her primordial strength that a woman can only give once in their life, an act known as the gift. Akari was meticulous enough to set a trigger for it. She also asked to leave a message with the system to be delivered. Time will be slowed and the message will now play.]

[Comment: Pay attention to the message leaving it, cost her more than one level.] The world began to slow down again and Akari appeared before him, this time clothed and in a dazzling vermillion ball gown. It was almost like a holographic image of her appeared there. She spun for Rowan to see the dress and he marveled at how beautiful she looked, but then her face turned sad.

"If you are seeing this, then I've already left, and whatever we could have been has vanished into smoke and hopefully we won't meet again because by the time we do, not even I know what type of person I would have become, I just know that it won't be your person any longer. I paid this miserly system an entire level and then some, which for beings like us, is rather hard to come by just to leave this message, so listen up dickhead. I set my gift to only trigger when you completely lost your sanity due to the mixing of our bloodlines."

"The system guided me through the process and it told me exactly what I needed to do to help you. I swear I think the thing has a hard on for you. I agreed to follow the system under one condition. Rowan Raid would need to feel defeated and helpless. The system would trigger the slow time and the end of your transformation by bursting the gift that has been left in you. The moment your soul affliction evolved, the system tracked and‌ found a path for you, but that's how Rowan Raid expects things to happen, always in his favor."

"I wanted you helpless with no control of your own body, ready to hurt someone you care for when the time slowed so that you would know what it feels like to hurt something you love with your own hands like I had to for this power. Nothing is free, Rowan. Of course, I could not have planned for any scenario outside of that while recording this, so whatever if you aren't in that scenario either way, something made you desperate enough to trigger this. Your fairy king bloodline perfectly counters the berserker madness but Rowan, you are the berserker now, and part of that is understanding that while the lives you take may give you strength, they each have weight, just like everyone that I killed in Raid Tower. I need to know that you'll feel the weight of each of those lives you take with every fiber of your being. A life is a life, and it deserves to be respected because it is a life. Don't let this make you something you're not. Being the berserker means becoming a being meant to strike fear into his enemies."

"You will stand at the top of the world some day I know that, but you need to carry that weight. You need to carry the weight of every life you take, both good and bad, because that's what the Berserker does. The berserker is feared because with each step, anyone aware enough sees the souls screaming in defiance in his very shadow, trapped there to give him strength."

The hologram seemed to want to brush her hands against his face, which was tear stained and covered in blood before thinking better of it and stopping her hand. "Make me proud Rowan. I know that coming from anyone besides your parents means nothing, but I'll say it anyway. Now down to the nitty gritty of this. You are gonna regain clarity and the effects of your skills that can make you lose that focus will now use your fairy king bloodline to squash that and turn it into an inhuman level of focus."

"The aftereffect is that your very mana will change to reflect that, as the power of souls now directly affects the majority of your actions. It will bolster you to unimaginable levels, and don't you worry, I got a little something from you as well, that helped me become powerful too. So while I said I never want to see you again, I also want you to understand that I will be standing at the top as soon as possible because there is nothing to stop me, no longer will I chase your back Rowan Raid, now it's your turn to chase mine."

The time stop ended and Rowan struggled to stand up with the added weight as his body slowly began to go through changes. The cyan was fully stripped away and replaced by a color that could only be called amethyst but instead of being seen though like the gem; it looked like he had locked stars inside of the amethyst and then curled it to make his hair. His storm armament peeled off of him and remade itself with the amethyst color instead of the cyan bordering the clouds. He flexed and the storm armament began to morph.

Rowan spoke out loud this time, so even Feng could hear it. [Storm Armament: Combat mode] The armament became a peculiar armor that coated Rowan's body. It completely exposed his midsection for maximum flexibility while an armor made of purple metallic feathers wrapped around him. It started around his hands, each of his fingers ending in a perfectly red talon. A simple flex causing them to simply become deep red fingernails on the glove portion. The feathers wrapped around his wrist and climbed up his arm before creating a falcon's head on each shoulder.

It covered his entire back, coating the spine of his now vibrant amethyst fairy wings and down to his legs before wrapping around his legs. The sneakers were replaced by wraps that went around his feet and made it seem like he was barefoot, yet they were coated in the same metal, but he could tell his feet were just as protected. Rowan flexed and amethyst lines of power appeared on his exposed midsection as he exhaled and‌ steam poured from his nostrils. Feng, who had been watching this process, slowly smiled and spoke softly, but to Rowan the words boomed in his ears. "Who are you?!"

Rowan held up one hand and from the rubble somewhere, his spear slammed into his hands as his new mana poured into it and it began to undergo its own changes, unbeknownst to Rowan. "I Am Rowan Raid, King and the first of the fairies. I am Rowan Raid, the herald of the storm. I am Rowan Raid, the berserker." Feng was visibly shaking with excitement as his harmony gene was telling him exactly what was going to happen. He could feel the parts of Rowan colliding and melding. "I AM FAIRY KING ROWAN RAID, BERSERKER OF THE AMETHYST STORM!" He roared, and the world trembled before him as the souls attached to him echoed his cry and Rowan ignored the added weight and leveled his spear at Feng. "Time for the final round, friend." Feng slammed his visor down and leveled his sword over his shield. They both threw themselves forward, ready to fight with their lives on the line, one a young man with an excellent grasp of who he was and another who just found out who he truly was and meant to be.
