Farewelll Storm

Rowan spent the next several hours talking and laughing with Akari as he caught her up on everything that had happened since the last time they saw each other. She sat there patiently listening and exclaiming at the exciting parts, and then it was her turn. She told him about everything that had led her to where she was at and it was his turn to be interested because while his life had been incredibly interesting lately, so has hers. They had separated and gone on two separate journeys in the past week and the end result was that they wound up on two separate paths, a fact that Rowan was now facing as they spoke.

"So, there is no way that I can convince you to come with me. Is there? Think about all the things we would see together. We will be able to travel through the stars, facing danger and fortune together, you can't tell me that wouldn't be fun." Akira could only shake her head because she already knew that while he was going to ask she could only say no.

"I get it. Your path is going to be one of bloodshed and adventure, across the stars but my path is already much different, my strength comes from the people that convert to my race, each time their is a new member of my race I don't, just get stronger like a zombie king does in there domain, No the sum total of their stats are added into my own. It may not seem like Rowan Raid but right now I am probably no less strong than the current you and that is with just a single orphanage that chose to become vampires so that they had a better chance at living through a now crueler world."

The information made Rowan pause for a second. His master had indeed told him that along with cultivation and law attainment, there was another way to gain strength and it was that some primogenitors of races that stem from human evolution were uniquely gifted. Rowan had gained an understanding of the soul, among many other things, but none of them were like Akari's ability to simply add the stats of any new member of her race into her own.

Rowan froze on the spot, because at some point it would entirely be possible for her stats to reach numbers in the billions with relative ease. Akari interrupted his thoughts just as he realized how powerful his friend was capable of becoming. "The system helped me develop this path, it's called the Monarch Path, my end goal isn't clear right now, the system has been guiding me, it says I gotta reach the pinnacle first before the next step will be revealed, which thanks to you I now know is rank ten, which means when I do start to expand its highly likely I can come into conflict with not only the zombies, but anything else out there including your academy may be my enemy. We are past the point where we can tread on the same path, but I look forward to seeing you among the stars Rowan. I can't wait to see how much you've grown then."

They had been staring at each other as they spoke and during her final line; she slid her hand over Rowan's and stared into his eyes. He took her hand in his own and pulled her into his embrace, before sitting himself down in her chair and kissing her deeply. She responded in kind and allowed herself to be swept into the passion, unaware that their fusion was triggering the same phenomena as before but this time, they weren't, at the start of their journey, this was the perfect union of two rank 5 beings. They had been nearly undefeatable when they fused as Rank 1 beings and now at rank 5 mana princes, actually fully capable of their own domains , they were now capable of shattering this entire world if they wanted to but instead they would give it a farewell gift, one last storm to clear out any hidden danger.

They intertwined in the real world right as the shared soul space opened for them both and the feedback loop of their pleasure pounded down onto them both with enough force to alter the way they were able to think for a moment. Their main bodies had started making love to each other while in his soul form he swept across the entire world, clearing away every single remaining zombie, while the storm absorbed the souls of the zombies that it picked off. Rowan was also able to notice that during the process, he was also able to see that most of the normal animals had mutated with the increase in mana graduating into members of the beast race.

Rowan completed his objective rapidly and with more efficiency than anyone thought possible, but he had other plans as well. He looked at the body of stars that were him and Akari as he grabbed her close and began to mirror the exact actions of their bodies in the outside world. The storm actually spiked on the outside world as Rowan kept himself fully focused on both tasks. Akari rode from his lap in the real world while in the soul-scape she was doing the same as they fell perfectly into sync, allowing Rowan to focus. He gripped her chest, and the action actually caused the souls in the clouds to detonate and convert into pure mana.

Rowan had been working on his control over souls and the relation of souls to mana but it was still a work in process, he had confirmed that the soul naturally communicated with mana, and with his current ability he could take the energy produced by the soul and compress which produced mana for a reason he still needed to work out. The mana from the souls mixed with the clouds and became a rain of mana that poured down on the entire planet. It would not be instant but Rowans action today would lead to an evolution of the planet, with the limiter removing itself, but it would be many years before he knew that but for Akari, it would affect her immediate future allowing her to use this tiny world as her main base a hidden location that she would move her forces from.

They continued making love for what seemed like hours when finally they both came to a gradual stop and retreated from the soul-scape. Rowan laid in the room with Akari on his chest as she used her finger to draw shapes on his chest. "Now it's my turn Rowan Raid, stay with me, lead my people with me and be a king , maybe even start your own Monarchs path here and be with me finally." Rowan didn't answer her right away, but he knew he did not need to because she continued not shortly after. "Just a dream I know can't happen Rowan, just hold me, so that I will remember your embrace until the next time we do this dance among the stars itself." Rowan kissed her and nodded, the words of him almost agreeing stuck in his throat for good..

Rowan knew he had to do more for her , something only he could do so as he held her. He let his hyper vision inspect her soul before he started twisted the mana in the area. The souls that were attached to him began to dissolve and turn into a pure mana, a new ability that he had recently formed, he had been putting off looking at his status because he knew at this point it had gone through enough changes to even give his enhanced brain a headache especially with all the new skills and changes to old ones. Rowan used the mana while at the same time he pulled from his pocket a forbidden Astra. He channeled the mana from the dissolved stones through the Astra and into Akari's soul. He was using the Astra as a medium to build her an infant soul weapon, a feat that would go on to shake the very foundation of the Ark, a fact that Rowan was simply too naïve to fully comprehend right now. It formed at the cost of all the souls that he had absorbed, which was in fact the entire zombie army that he had annihilated. It costs a disturbing amount of mana to create just an embryo to a soul weapon."

Rowan created a storm point and teleported from under Akari while she slept. The feeling of mana flooding her soul and her own exhaustion had pushed her to a point where she had fallen asleep.

Rowan wrote out what she would need to do to nurture the embryo the same way that his master had taught him. He cleaned himself off and used mana to create a protective field around her, she would be able to break it but it maintained that she would be safe no matter what came her way until she woke up, she was much more trusting than he was capable of being currently. Rowan watched her sleep for more than an hour before he vanished in the dead of night. He would stop by the raid tower and retrieve his companions before he left his homeworld for what would be a very long time.
