Cultivation

Rowan had memorized the ship when he initially spread out the clouds to find the command room, so going to the empty room was pretty easy. He could hear em in the distance complaining about the upkeep of something as Camille told her how she shouldn't talk about people that way, indicating that she had said something about someone on the ship, it was highly likely that it was Genma based on the way that he heard her talking but it just made him laugh and keep moving.

The room he was going to be was right across from the room that Feng was reading the book in which had certainly caused some type of resonance with him based on the fact that black and white runes had coated the sliding door and glowed with a strange type of power which made Rowan feel like he was at peace. Rowan had asked his master for a book on runes, not expecting him to snap his fingers and make one on the spot. He remembered the words his master nonchalantly said at the time.

"This is all of my comprehension towards runes to date, the book should update the more I learn though the, study of the language of mana can be tricky even for me, hopefully that friend of yours really does have an affinity for it and he can manage to ascend and help me do more research into it, the portion I do know has helped me immensely." His master had created the book instantly so Rowan never took into account the true worth of the book or anything like that, but clearly he was wrong and the book itself was worth far more than he ever truly realized.

Rowan was happy for his friend Feng, they were both tier zero existences but they diverged on the point that Rowan had been chosen to be groomed specifically by the Empyrean system or Empry to be exact which gave him more opportunity to evolve and shine as a cultivator, Feng didn't have the same opportunity so Rowan hoped that this would be an opportunity to catapult him forwards and halt him falling behind. Rowan walked into the empty room and the door closed behind him with a clang. If he was going to break through in three days, then he needed to focus.

The room was simple, a mirror and sink was under a mirror fastened to the wall and to the left of that was a bed that was just big enough for Rowan as well as several shelves that were built directly into the wall. At the foot of the bed, there were drawers built directly into a wall right before the door that led to the bathroom that had a simple shower and toilet in it. Rowan took it all in and sat down on the beg with his legs folded into each other. He entered into a storm trance the moment that his eyes closed and a storm began to form above the ship, rumbling with platinum lightning and accelerating the amount of mana that poured towards the ship. His new storm mana encompassed all the base elements of the universe and so when he cultivated , thanks to his storm trance, everyone on the ship began to benefit as they felt the mana in the air thicken, everyone except one person.

Genma now stood outside of the ship waving his hands and commanding grains of sand that all glowed with the same tan light. The sand twisted around his hands and dispersed itself throughout the sky before forming a faint tan ring around not only the ship but the storm clouds as well. He clenched his hands and the glow from the sand intensified before both the ship and storm both vanished from sight, leaving nothing but an empty clearing for anyone that would see the area. [Domain Spell: Hidden in time]. Genma huffed for a moment as he felt out of breath from the entire exchange.

He was walking back in when he ran into Camille, who was on her way back to her own space to cultivate, but stopped after noticing the changes that had happened to them. "Sir Genma, what exactly did you just do there? I only ask because when skill books still dropped I was able to learn a single time related skill, but it's only good at seeing the past actions of a figure, I have not used it much since I acquired it, I think it has something to do with my attunement but I have not been able to get much information on the flame of healing at this time." Genma waved his hands a couple of times and his mirror reappeared next to him as he inspected Camille.

"If I'm not incorrect, then your flame certainly does have some properties of time mana in it, attunements like yours and the boys are rather new in the cultivation community, it's only been a couple tens of years since it has been discovered. You are part of a new generation in which the attunements have mixed with something else and it's making for a generation of little monsters. I actually have a thesis out on what's causing the inhabitants of our world to evolve at such a rapid pace, but I digress. Young miss would you like to learn from me, I don't mean anything official and I have no more passes to the academy, that barbaric friend of yours will unboundedly handle that but seeing an evolution of what could have been a time attunement, I would also be learning while helping you cultivate."

Camille had to think on it for a moment before she answered, "Well yes, I think that would be fine, but I have a single condition. Tell me what it is that you did to the ship. Why do I feel so odd now?" Genma's eyes lit up as her words basically confirmed what he thought about her attunement. "You feel odd because you are currently in a zone of my creation in which time is displaced. Your friend asked that I buy him three days of time, so I used my domain. Using it on a ship and on the aftereffects of his cultivation its funny. I can keep it up for exactly three days, but the way it works is that I surround the object or objects with my mana and remove them from time itself. It creates a separate space where the time is completely stopped or from outwards it looks like that but truthfully what it does is that it moves us through time both forward and backward over and over again rendering us invisible to anyone that would come forward and forming a barrier that will rapidly age or de age anything that enters it."

They both sat down together one behind the other as the ship entered a quiet as most of the people began cultivating the only sound that could be heard were the sounds of Em repairing the ship and upgrading it apparently according to her mutters. No one had realized that, in fact, as everyone else was cultivating the little girl with her tool belt was, in fact, doing the same. She had been wrapped in a whole new world after she broke into the fifth rank with Rowan's help. Her mana space had begun to change as it slowly morphed until it was shaped like a wrench, while at the same time her creation attunement began to evolve all on its own.

She, too, had achieved the hidden realm of cultivation that not many people were able to even see. It required talent, of course, but it also required that the actions of a person conform with their soul. The only way for someone to evolve their mana space was by undertaking actions that were true to them for prolonged periods of time. Rowan's mana space, for example, began to morph the moment he first became the storm, and further, when he embraced the berserker that slumbered within. Em on the other hand had no soul affliction, there was nothing to guide her but her own intuition and in Rowans absence she had realized the uses of mixing technology and magic and she had chased her interest to the point where during the process of fixing the ship she had entered a mystical state of cultivation where not only was her attunement evolving but her mana space had as well.

Rowan, on the other hand, was finally starting to actually cultivate as the storm grew more intense above the ship. He had to step into the rank of mana kings, the point of which was to take all of your mana and convert it into the final form of mana, its solid state; it required a cultivator compressing their liquid mana until it solidified. It took half of his mana to finish the first part of the conversion, leveling him up to 51 in the process and then he would pull in more mana and start the entire process again causing a storm of mana to surround the ship at all times.
