World Destroyer (Part 2)

While Rowan was speeding to his destination, there was another battle taking place to distract from their mission. That distraction was in the form of Regius and Valentine entering an open war with the insectoids. Over the years there have been plenty of battles. In fact, there had been so many that the insectoids had no choice but to face Regius with the entirety of their forces. He had entered into skirmishes with every major force in the myriad realms and had only become stronger and stronger as time went on. He was now capable of battling several Primordials at the same time, requiring three to hold him at bay. His son valentine was already evenly matched with a single primordial.

Primordial was essentially the final state of cultivation. It was god hood but at the same time it represented beings that were born at the start of the universe, beings of immense power capable of shattering stars at a single touch. A race as old as the insectoids had plenty of such beings, but the war that was going on now was their last resistance for the invader known as Regius lowe. Regius had toured the myriad realms fighting each of the races and he had decided on the lands of the insectoids as his true first target and since then he had engaged in open warfare with their entire race, a war that could only have one victor.

Regius stood tall with his family by his side and Valentine directly next to him. He surveyed the enemy forces in front of him, and in an instant, his brows furrowed. There was something wrong with the layout of their forces, but more so in the number of primordials that he could feel. He could not feel as many as he was supposed to. Regius' head whipped around several times before his daughter, Wreathe called out to him. "Father, what is it? Regius' gaze turned steely, and he turned back towards her. "Wreathe I need you to do me a favor, there are 2 primordials missing from their forces, I don't know why there is two missing but I assume it is because they have been left behind to defend their home world but while I expected the spider queen to be absent, I did not expect there second strongest primordial, the monarch to also be missing."

"I need you to sneak out of the formation and go check on Rowan and the war wolves. I don't think the monarch is an enemy he is ready to face at this point." Wreathe nodded her head, "Yes father, be safe without me." Regius smiled and looked forward as Valentine's soul force began to flow rapidly. Valentine was powerful beyond belief, and his poison was potent, and now he was able to put that into practice. The myriad realms had long since heard of the evergreen monarch but something that Regius had not told anyone and was sure not to point out was that all of this time they had put so much of the focus on Valentine because of the fact that Regius truly did not want anyone to know that not only were his other children just as powerful but there was one in particular that had cultivated so quickly that she was even heading towards Regius levels of power, it was the families best kept secret."

That person was Wreathe. She was powerful in ways that not many people could really even fathom, which is why she was nothing more than a golden shimmer as she faded through a tear in space. She vanished through the rift and began to speed towards the location that she knew Rowan to be headed towards with the hope that she would make it in time, but at this point she was confident that she would.

On the other hand, things had been going well. Rowan's command had been flawless. He had learned enough about all of them that he was able to direct them in the best way to make sure their abilities were used to the best of their abilities. Rowan had Chase use the same spell that he had used last night, but instead of any attacking capability, its purpose was to hide their tracks, scent and mana signatures. It showed that these people here truly were masters of their roles. Chase was truthfully a support class cultivator and his abilities, when not used for attacking, were quite spectacular. He used the same spell as last night, but instead, the moon was tiny and hung above their heads. A thin veil of moonlight fell from the crescent moon and covered all of them. It made it so that they could not be detected in the slightest. In the brief that was prepared for Rowan on his team, the file in fact said that it was one of the most potent cloaking spells in creation, and the specialty of the winters family. They had a special attunement that not even Regius had expected. The night attunement of the winters family was something Regius was still very interested in.

The rest each showed their specialties in different ways throughout the journey. Chase, as there was a support expert capable of cloaking an entire group and even capable of turning the entire area into silent zones that released no mana or fluctuation from the battle, allowed them to travel unseen despite several skirmishes.

Next up would be the party's tank Minos. He had a metal attunement, but his attunement, at some point, had mutated to gold. He cultivated what he called the gold light body. When he got serious, his upper body would be the bull, but no ordinary minotaur. He became a massive golden deity. They first saw this when they encountered a massive demigod centipede that ambushed them and was thwarted by Mino's invulnerable body. The hair that coated his body was golden and had a fiery glow. He had doubled down when his metal attunement mutated by practicing the laws of gold. He could condense a golden light that boosted his might by several times, but also his gold created a perfect tool for him to force his targets into encounters with him, making him perfect in his role as tank.

Next was the Ranger Fjell Thundershaker. He wielded what Rowan had initially thought was just an odd bow, but in fact, Fjell Thundershaker wielded an Astra Bow that looked like a harp, but the curve was more pointed like an arrowhead. When he wielded the bow, it would look like he was simply playing, but instead he was holding countless arrows and firing them off rapidly and in the form of bolts of lightning. He practices laws of sound and thunder. He would use the sonic booms and cracks of thunder to manipulate the sonic waves and redirect his projectiles.

Finally, there was Alaric Sol, the mage. The mage role was always supposed to be the assault's partner in dealing the most damage to the other party and Alaric was easily the second most powerful person here for sure. Rowan actually understood that if serious, it was very possible that Alaric would be able to injure him or very nearly kill him. He was a dragon, a species that had evolved fiercely in the wake of the Ark. They had earned the divine moniker after Regius confirmed that they were now more racially gifted than their counterparts in the myriad Realms. Dragons were now home to magical talents that other cultivators could not begin to even crack into because they had kept to themselves and been amassing their power and just recently came back on the scene. Alaric was from the sun clan, or the Sol clan, as they were called. They were all divine dragons born with the Sun attunement. The sun element was one of the four core elements that made up the universe and governed all things hot. Swipes of Alaric's' fingers were able to fire beams of light that cut through anything they touched. They had still not seen him get too serious, but his file had spoken volumes about his talents.

Everything went smoothly, and they had reached their objective. For evolved society, they each had built compounds around their world Core to prevent an enemy primordial from just blinking through their planet's interior in a minor planet and taking the world core, though they had gotten here with such ease that it was not much different. In major planets, though, it was considerably dangerous to attempt that because the planet had enough sentience to keep its body at a steady rhythm, that would cause anyone teleporting toward its core to be ground into dust. So people typically built a safe passage with runes that led to their world core so that it could be protected and because building bases on the site on top of a world core could lead to amazing benefits.

The party made it here without ever alerting the planet to their presence and had even dispatched the guards that were left here in the wake of Regius war. It was, in fact, so smooth that Rowan couldn't shake this horrible feeling. Cultivators who focused on their souls were very, very few, but thanks to his spirit portion of his bloodline, Rowan had reached such a point that his sixth sense was more powerful than even Regius. Something was nagging him, but he could not pin down what. Rowan looked at his party while he was reaching out towards the World Core to give his next order. "Each of you prepare to return as fast as possible, i'll form the chains again, something is…" He was cut off by the action of his hand making contact with the world core.

Regius had overlooked something because Rowan had not used soul manipulation on him because he was not trying to kill his master. He also didn't know that Rowan's current form was a result of his soul consuming his fleshly body and so he had downplayed the fact that a world core had the world's consciousness in it, it was the soul of the world. Rowan had reached out with his flesh hand without his mech covering it because Regius had told him how amazing of a resource it was. He was going to see if he could absorb some of it while he put it in the bag, opting to form a good rapport with his unit and not absorbing too much of it to get them all the full military reward. He never expected that soul manipulation would trigger on its own and the whole world would tremble.

What happened next would be described by the War Wolves as the single most frightening moment of their lives because the entire planet directly collapsed just like bodies did when Rowan used soul manipulation. The fledgling consciousness of this world never even stood a chance of resisting. As the world collapsed, they all were embraced by this massive gravitational force as the planet was absorbed back into the object in Rowan's hand. He, on the other hand, felt like he was trying to force a blackhole closed with his bare hand. He grimaced through the pain as his hand shredded itself and healed over and over. The rest of his focus was on using the infinity cloud to defend the rest of the party against the might of the planet collapsing around them. It felt like an eternity for them all until finally they were in space with nothing around them and Rowan holding a tiny brown sword shaped gem that was pulsing with green light. There was a blast of green light and finally an Emerald sword settled in his hand and thrummed with soul force. He looked at his party dumbfounded when a roar of complete rage shook all of the surrounding space.

"YOU FOOLISH COWARDS, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE DONE? YOU WILL ALL DIE FOR THIS." Rowan was the only one that understood that standing in space in front of them was not one but two primordials of the insectoid Race. Two that Rowan could recognize from the required reading Regius had set him before his mission. The spider queen, ruler of all insectoids and her second in command, the Monarch. Everyone among them could all feel the power they radiated and shivered at the thought of their impending doom.
