There's a certain feeling you can get when you are with a certain someone. Whatever it might be, that rule is absolute. Vandyr knew about this, but that feeling was new to him. It was because there's no certain person to make him know those feelings.
Vandyr woke up in a room with an average temperature. His vision was too blurry so he tried to brush it off but to no avail. There was a weird sensation that felt familiar to him. It was as if he was just recently born into the world.
Light filled the room all of a sudden. Vandyr realized this even with a blurry vision. He tried to sit but there's no energy for him to do so. Because of this, he decided to reach out his hand and touch something from above him. There was a transparent glass there, which Vandyr had realized. He panicked but only sweated the indication of knowing this situation.
"Where am I?" is the question that popped onto Vandyr's mind. He tried reaching the glass again but only touched the end of it as the curve made it impossible for him to make in contact with the middle. There were walls from around him. The size of the place was enough for him to sit and crawl around.
With determination, Vandyr decided to try sitting. This was then, he realized that there's a weird part about his body. He checked his own hand to his arm until his eyes reached the legs to the feet.
Everything's fatter and shorter than before?!
He thought. It was then, he passed out.
Vandyr was woken up by a person's faint voice. It was what he thought but it was actually a giant's one. She was wearing something white-colored which was unusual for Vandyr. It was rare to see someone like that; at least in his world.
The giant carried Vandyr and put something into his mouth. He was surprised about this and almost choked from just having the tip swallowed. He then had a vision on what was being forced onto him. It was a bottle with a weird tip.
With Vandyr's vision, it was hard to tell what was inside the bottle. But with instinct, he started sucking the tip.
It tastes good...
Vandyr continued drinking whatever was inside the bottle. The drink was so good that he almost relaxed and felt like going back to sleep. But just then, he caught a glimpse of something. Something that makes clear of the situation he was in.
A mirror hanging from a wall was seen by Vandyr, who had been carried by a giant and brought him near it. Even with the low vision, he saw it, the person he's looking at was himself, but the physical characteristics were different.
So that was it huh... I was reborn.
Suddenly, he passed out while sucking the milk inside the bottle that was given to him by a nurse.
Days have passed and Vandyr somehow managed to figure out the situation he was in. Later on, he was discharged from the place called "hospital" together with his mother. The surroundings of the world he was in was so different from the usual. There was no wasteland full of sand which was the common thing you would see in Vandyr's world.
At the moment, Vandyr was sitting on his mother's lap, who was also sitting on a wheelchair. They were being pushed by a nurse as they traveled through the hospital. His father was also accompanied by them; he was walking at the same pace as the nurse.
I'm sure that this guy on our right is my father. I could see their faces getting in contact with each other. Well anyways, he looked young and timid. I can't believe having a father so different from me. I guess war had made me become as manly as I was before...
They reached the exit of the hospital. There, they were approached by a shiny car. This car was so shiny that the sun's rays got reflected by it.
"Good timing Franco," Vandyr's father said.
"Well it's 'me' we're talking about," Franco replied, who was driving the car.
The nurse helped Vandyr and his mom get inside the car. They sat on the back of the vehicle while his father was in the passenger seat next to the driver's. Vandyr started to look outside as the car moved.
This world is filled with moving metals. There were also those green things that were supported by something brown. People around are also peaceful...
These kinds of thoughts overflowed Vandyr's mind. He even got his eyes wet for realizing how different the world he lived in to this now. At this moment, he promised himself something.
I'll live the happiest I can be. After all, this second life I have is the time for me to live differently than the one I had before.
With this, he smiled with tears in his eyes. Vandyr's father saw this and took a picture of it from his smartphone. Everyone inside the car laughed upon seeing his face.

There was a cry coming from the deep forest. It was late at night and a storm seemed to be passing by. A woman seemed to be suffering from something. Getting closer, you would realize that she was giving birth.
Inside the house, there's only 2 women. One who looked around 60 years old and the other around 30. The woman around 30 was giving birth, with the woman around 60 helping her with it.
It was then, a baby boy was pulled from the younger woman. The older one looked at the baby weirdly. There was no cry or any movement that came from the boy. But even so, she could not call it dead as his eyes were wandering. The older woman performed the necessary actions in handling the baby.
But at that moment, the older woman realized something. There was no movement coming from the younger woman. She then put down the baby on a soft mattress and checked the pulse of the younger woman.
There's no pulse.
The newly born boy saw its surroundings. With everything that has happened, he can not comprehend everything. As a result, he passed out.
"This war is not finished, Vandyr," was muttered in the boy's mouth in an unusual language from everyone on the Earth. Because of this, the older woman doesn't understand anything, thinking it's only a baby's random noise. She did the necessary preparations and took the baby.
