Chapter 3

There was a 2-year-old boy lying with his stomach on the floor while flipping through the pages of a book which was a novel about science fiction. Of course, the boy was Vin and the book was the one that his father bought for him.

At the time, around 70% of English vocabulary was learned by Vin. As he retained his memories from the previous world, his skills are still the same as before he got into this world.

Suddenly, boredom had occured into Vin's mind and so he rested on the floor with his back facing it. He then started reminiscing.

In the previous world, Tramp taught me to observe people thoroughly. So even with our poor condition, I managed to rise in rank of being a leader by fighting the warriors and defeating them. Even without a proper educator when it comes to battle, I managed to get through by learning techniques from the movements of the warriors I have defeated up to now.

While reminiscing, a noise can be heard from just in front of Vin's house. Because of this, he decided to check the situation through the window. Vin's father didn't realize this as he was too busy with his work even if he was just close to Vin.

There, it seemed a car broke down in the middle of the street. A man and woman got out of the car and checked the situation. There was smoke coming out from the car's engine.

Luckily, it wasn't just Vin that noticed the situation. Some people from the neighborhood went outside to help the two in trouble. Upon seeing this, the man and woman held each other's hands.

Holding hands seems to be a sign of romance here in this world... I could even see my parents sometimes doing it.

They then started pushing the car to reach somewhere. With the problem solved, Vin decided to get off the chair which he used to check through the window and brought back the book on where it was kept. Because of what just happened, a thought came into Vin's mind.

Romance doesn't even occur to me from the previous world! Ugh, maybe it's about time I have one and enjoy myself to the utmost that I can.

As a warrior's duty, it was all wars, battles and duels that was in Vandyr's mind at the time. But since in this world he was transferred has no such things, he doesn't need to bring this kind of action into his mind.

And so, the planning on having romance begins. Vin started by rereading the books that his father had brought to him. There were signs of romance there but he hasn't taken note of it which is why he'll start by doing that.

Second, while it was nighttime and Vin's mother recently got home, he'd borrow her phone then do some researching. Of course, the English alphabet is already learned by Vin so it's just an easy task of searching something on the web.

After the research, Vin would take note of it using a notebook which he found randomly in his parent's bookcase and a pencil which was brought to him by his mother in preparation for school. Afterwards gave back the phone and planned on his next move.

Third, Vin observed his parents. They are a primary example of people who experienced romance. With this thought in mind, Vin really took a closer look at his parents, observed them for around one week and then wrote the conclusion in the same notebook he had written in.

Now, I'm done. All that's left to do is to put this into action.

Vin relaxed on a sofa. After the days of hard work, he felt tired even after enough sleep. Or at least that was what he thought. A young boy had different sleeping hours than an adult. And since Vandyr had retained his usual habits as an adult, he had forgotten about this knowledge. He then ended up sleeping unexpectedly.

An old woman could be found walking in the deep forest. She was having a hard time walking as the ground was not stable. The dirt was a little wet which made it muddy due to the rain that happened recently.

With an unbelievable strength, the old woman managed to carry a baby wrapped in a cloth while also wearing a bag that looked heavy. Even with this luggage, she took a step and managed to traverse down a low mountain.

The walking finally stopped. The old woman reached the bottom part of the mountain. From there, a cemented road could be seen right in front of her. Of course, as traveling down a mountain took a lot of energy, she sat on a waiting shed and regained her breath.

Around 15 minutes have passed. As the old woman realized this, a provincial bus with open windows could be seen in the distance. She then stood up while carrying the baby and waited for the bus to take notice of them. It did not take long before the bus stopped and the old woman went inside.
