Chapter 4

Vin was sleeping soundly. Of course, dreams come after sleep, which is what we're going to have a peek at for a moment. 

There was a child in that dream. A lonely one as her mother was gone. How about the father? Well, there were no signs of him around. There was only an old woman. She looks incapable as to her appearance but the quote "Do not judge a book by its cover" could be applied here. 

The old woman realized that the child needed her help. And so, even in the middle of a forest, she took the baby and went down the mountains, with a noticeable amount of energy. After that, there seemed to be a time skip.

The child grew older a little bit. But the thing is, not with the presence of the old woman earlier, except from two adults who were friends with her.

The adults had a huge impact on the child's growth. Yes, they managed to raise him decently, but the condition of the family is what troubles the whole situation. 

To elaborate about the family, these are the members of it: mother, father, their 2 sons and the child we have been following up to now. With this kind of situation, finances start to become a problem. 

To put it simply, the child was adopted by these two adults. Though it was merely a request by the old woman who has no stable kind of job. But the thing is, the adults don't care much about the adopted child. And in the end, there was no fair treatment between him and the other children. 

Amidst the situation, there was a usual phrase that the child always says. But the problem is, the phrase was not common for the people of the Earth. Except only understandable by the person peeking through the child's vision, Vin. 

"I'll defeat and kill you Vandyr," says the child. From this point, Vin realized who the child was. Of course it was his adversary, Graxia. 

The dream ended and Vin was awake. He was wet from his own sweat. He calmed down a little bit upon realizing that he was in his own bed. He then turned on the lamp beside him and stared into nowhere for a while.

Oh well Graxia doesn't know where I am. I'm sure that he won't be a bother to me.

Vin turned off the lamp and decided to go back to sleep. Even though he slept on his sofa and then woke up from his bed, this kind of situation did not bother Vin. Except, the fact that Graxia is with him in this world matters to him the most.

Another year passed. There was a huge facepalm that could be heard from the living room. It was Vin, who looked worried.

How can I experience romance when I don't have a partner?!

It was what he had been thinking up to this day. The boy who's not allowed to go outside has just realized this fact.

Today is his another birthday. He's now 3 years old. His parents were out for a while to buy cakes and several foods for the celebration.

What should I do? Look out the window and wait for a girl to pass by?! That's unreasonable!

Vin thought as he unconsciously peeked through the window. There was then a girl who's walking past in front of their house. She was wearing a uniform which was kind of familiar to Vin. 

Vin's heartbeat started going rampant. At this moment, he knew what to do. And so wearing a random t-shirt and a little bit of ragged shorts, he went outside, locked the door and reached out for the girl.

The girl which Vin has caught his eyes on was around 4 years old. She's wearing a t-shirt which is a uniform for a kindergarten school nearby. Everything seems normal, except for the fact that there are no parents around to accompany such a cute girl. 

"Hey!" Vin shouted.

"Huh?" the girl replied with a shaky voice. 

The girl's eyes are teary. Vin realized this. With enough research and gathering of knowledge, he put his hands on his pocket to reach for something. But everything crumbled as soon as he realized the situation.

Where's the handkerchief I've been keeping from all this time?!

Vin thought of giving a handkerchief to the girl who looked like about to burst into tears. But in the end, he started panicking which confused the girl, who was left hanging after Vin called out to her. 

In the end, the girl wiped her own tears and smiled a little. On the other side, Vin became hopeless and decided to ignore the girl who seemed to be having fun from his actions. He went straight to the door leading inside his home. But then, just then, he realized something. The door was locked with no keys with him. 

Vin tried rotating the door knob even though he had a hard time doing so, but to no avail. He then looked at the ground talking to himself "I hate this world."

The girl earlier burst out laughing. It was as if she was watching a comedy show. Vin then kneeled, being disappointed by the things he had done. 

Suddenly, someone patted on Vin's back. Upon turning around, he saw the same girl who seemed to have relaxed after what happened. 

"Let's play at the park," the girl said who at the same time, held Vin's hand and pulled him over.

Vin managed to balance himself from kneeling to standing. The two then started running. For some other reasons, everything looks colorful for Vin. 

Vin took a good look at the girl who's leading him to the park. She's quite older and much taller than him. And in addition, her uniform tells that she's already studying in school. 

The two reached the park. There were children playing there, but they seemed to be a part of one group. In the end, the two went to a slide. They slid together at the same time. 

I guess I just need to enjoy this life to the fullest.
