Episode 10: Unexpected Date 3

We were both standing, staring at the coffee shop. Stunt, all we could do was to look at the place's name.

"Oh, it's 'that' shop."

"The famous one..."

Currently, standing in front of us is one of the famous coffee shops in the world. Of course, since this place is not the usual route of me going to school, it's surprising to see this one right here.

"Should we go in?" she asked. "I mean, we can find-"

"Hey, hey. Don't back out now." I suddenly remembered her teasing me earlier. "I thought that we're gonna 'test' it out if I could handle the coffee?"

"Heh." She wrapped her arms around my neck, almost as if choking me. "Nice try, then let's go."

We both walked inside the store. The door automatically opened upon us being near to it. The inside was a busy one. Ranging from individuals who work on their laptops to people banding together, enjoying their time.

"So, what are you getting?" she asked.

"Americano." I said. "I usually hear it from shows and movies."

"Yeah, agreed." She went ahead and fell in line. I followed. "I guess I'll have the same too."

After ordering, we went to a seat on the second floor. The air breeze passes through us.

"Look at those buildings." She pointed her finger to one of the tall buildings around us. "I went there once."

"Hm, cool."

After some talks later, the coffee finally was served to us. As the staff was putting down the coffee, I could see her huge grin.

"Heh-"

"Before that, let's take some photos first," I suggested.

"What? Too lame. Let's get on with it already."

"Here, let's take a selfie." As we're sitting apart at the table, I changed seats and went next to her. I took out the camera and had coffee. "Hey come on now."

"Okay, okay." She also took her coffee and posed for the camera.

"Smile." We both smiled.

After taking on different shots together, it's time to take on the drink.

"Just so you know, I sometimes consume coffee." she said.

"Yeah, yeah."

And there, a sip. I stared at her for a while. She does the same too. I took a glance at the coffee and its looks and instantly back at her.

"Too bitter," we both said.

"I swear, instant coffee is not this bitter!" she said.

"This isn't how I remember it tastes too!"

"Maybe we need a creamer for this one. There should be..."

"None." I replied after checking our table.

"Does this mean... We'll have to suffer drinking this?"

After a lengthy work of drinking and almost vomiting, we finally finished the coffee.

"Whew. Never coming back to a coffee shop after this."

"Same, haah."

As we walked downstairs, I scanned the whole area before saying goodbye to it. The theme is actually cool and everything fits perfectly. From the background music to the painting on the walls- wait a minute.

I stopped walking and said, "Is that... A creamer?"

She looked at where I was looking. By the corner of the ground floor, a table exists where you could get a creamer. We both looked down as we left the building.

"Let's go back sometime," she said.

"And use a creamer, that is," I replied.
