The Moonflower Pack

I don't know when I became such a scaredy-cat. Why am I so afraid and don't even think about fighting? Even if I can't transform into my wolf form, I can still fight anything that will happen on my way.

So, I stood up, took the knife from the kitchen, and went to the corridor, then slightly moved the barricades away so that was enough to open the door. However, when they opened, and I took a protective pose with my knife in front of my chest, I saw a blond lively hair and a pair of blue eyes with a brown mixture in one of them.

"Aiden… You scared me," I sighed, then threw the knife away and moved the barricades to the side, so he could enter my apartment. When he just stepped inside and didn't even manage to close the door, I jumped at him and hugged him tightly, feeling my body shaking, "I was never so much afraid…"

"Afraid? With a knife in your hand?" He chuckled, then hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head, "It's okay, I'm with you, and I'll do everything to protect you. Have you gathered your things?"

"Yeah, but not all. Still have the kitchen stuff and products to pack," I said and straightened up, "Also what did you mean when you said they won't stop if I'll be marked? Can they break our bond even then?"

"They can't," Aiden said, then closed the door and barricaded it again. After that, he went to the kitchen, took my bag closer, and started packing some things I already put on the table. I ran after him and started helping him to pack my belongings faster, so we can get out of here. Aiden explained to me after a while what he meant, "Their so-called Alpha can ask me for a duel. There's a duel for women when two wolves are fighting for one female wolf. The one who wins takes the woman, even if they're not mates. It rarely happens, but if it will happen to us, I'll fight to the death but won't lose you again!"

"If you'll die, I'll go after you." I suddenly said with tears in my eyes and hugged him again. "When I came to the city and saw you at the nightclub, I felt like I missed you all my life there in Dallas. I finally felt I came home, and you're my home. And when we were dating and spending a lot of time together, they were the happiest moments in my life."

Aiden hugged me tightly while listening to every word I say. After I finished, he kept silent, but in a while he took my chin in his hands, lift it up, and looked deep into my eyes.

"Do you want to move to me, darling? I always dreamt to say those words no matter what's going on now," he smiled, and when I nodded, lightly kissed my lips and hugged me tightly.

After half an hour, I was sitting in his car, while he was driving to the forest on one of the roads I never noticed before. We put all my belonging in the back of the car, and Aiden asked William to drive my car to the pack when they'll finish looking for fake Aaron. By the way…

"So how could it happen, that someone managed to kill Aaron and took his place? No one noticed they are looking different, or they were secretly twins?" I turned my head to Aiden's direction and started twisting my red curl in my head, waiting for his explanation. Also, I was fascinated while Aiden was driving a car with one hand on a watch, while the other one was lying at his knee.

"As far as Victor said, Aaron doesn't have an evil twin. We haven't expected such a twist in the plot, so no one looked at the fake Aaron so carefully to notice some difference. Also, if it was planned before, they could do some surgical operation or put on some masks. Honestly, I don't know, but I'll figure it out. Victor is on his way to here," Aiden turned the steering wheel with his left arm to the right side, and the car drove out of the asphalt to the stone-paved path leading deep to the forest. I pressed my head to the window to look closely at the road we were driving now. I imagined a bit different picture in my head about the road leading to the Pack in the forest.

"We didn't want to make damage the forest, so we refused to put an asphalt here. Yes, we have gas and electricity, internet and mobile connection here, but our houses are from wood. We plant a lot of new trees in the places where we cut wood for the houses. We care about the forest we live in, Letty," Aiden smiled, reading my thoughts.

"I wish humans care about the place they live in so much as you care about the forest," I kissed his cheek and turned my head to the window to observe the picture outside the car. Aiden was driving a car slowly, so I could easily see the depth of the forest I would be living in from now. And I liked what I had seen.

The forest was looking amazing, like all the other forests the mother nature created. There were a lot of different trees, big and small, old and new, as well as blooming plants. What also caught my eyes was a group of werewolves, running beside the car. I immediately looked at Aiden.

"Do they always meet you like that?"

"Yes. They want it so much, but I can't ban it, because it will be a restriction of their freedom and desires, which is not legal according to the rules of the Pack. Every wolf living in a Pack is free. He obeys the Alpha, obeys his orders, but he has freedom of speech, freedom of thought, of desire and movement."

"But they can't tell you everything they want? There's some restriction?" I asked, looking at his hand holding the steering wheel. Suddenly, he moved his right hand from his knee and pointed at something in front of us. I looked there and saw wooden houses that were like mushrooms, here and there. There were many of them, like werewolves, that formed a corridor, greeting Aiden.

{He probably has the biggest pack.}

"Of course, they can't tell me everything they want, but it's not restrictions. It's just their own understanding of who I am and how they should talk to me."

"Even if they do not agree with my decision, they must fulfill it," Aiden stopped before the large and wide building, to which two guys hurried and began to open the gates.

"The garage?" I asked when the gates were open, and we drove to the building. There were a lot of cars on both sides of us. Aiden just nodded, then lowered the speed to the minimum and parked at a free slot. When he turned off the car, he turned around to me.

"All the cars that belong to our pack members are holding here. There's a specific place for each car. Recently we made the underground section." He smiled, probably from my amused face, then took my hand and kissed the top of it. "You don't know how long I was waiting to finally be able to get you to the Pack and my house."

"Is it the richest one?" I chuckled, then turned around, seeing the crowd of werewolves moves closer to the garage. I felt my heartbeat fasten its beat to a dangerous speed, threatening to jump out of my chest. Aiden squeezed my hand and kissed the top of it again, then pressed my palm to his chest. His heart was bouncing in his chest as fast as mine. I turned my head at him, "They know I'm here?"

"Someone probably told them, or they just saw your hair color from the front window," he shrugged, then chuckled, put his warm palm on my cheek, comforting me, "You're with me, remember?"

"I do," I pressed my face to his warm palm and closed my eyes, enjoying the warmth and peace that was always flying around him. Then, I took a deep breath, opened my eyes, and gathered all my inner power and bravery, "Let's go."

"Let's go, Princess," he turned around, jumped out of a car, and in a second he opened my door and help me with his hand. I took his hand, went out of the car, and stepped back, closing the door behind me. I run with my fingers through my hair, then turned around and saw two guys approaching us. They bowed their head to Aiden, then looked at me with their amber eyes.

{Why their eyes are amber? Shouldn't they be of some human color?"

"Took out the baggage from my car and deliver it to my house. And be careful," Aiden ordered, then put his hand at my waist and led me to the street. The crowd made a few steps back from the garage when we approached, and all their amber eyes looked at me.

I observed them for a second and finally understood why their eyes are amber.
