A look from the past

"Unbelievable! So your father saw your death from one of his loyal werewolves and killed all of them at a certain time? So that is the reason for the fireā€¦ to protect you from themā€¦," Aiden was looking at me like I just told him the biggest mystery that ever existed in the whole world. After my silent nod, he turned around and looked at a small window into the forest. The clock hanging on the wall that Aiden repaired showed us that it was still morning, however, the forest was dark. It was gloomy and rainy, the big rain drops were bombarding the roof, threatening to come inside. Aiden kept silent, so it meant it was my time to say something, however, I wasn't able to find the right words and didn't know where to start. Father's first letter to me in his diary already rose a few dozens of questions in my head, but one question was among all the others.

"Why didn't he kill that one werewolf instead of killing the whole Pack?" I looked at Aiden's back, then run with my eyes over the pictures and drawings hanging on the walls in the so-called living room. I was sitting on the sofa, and Aiden was near the window, a few inches away from me. Likewise, I could easily reach him with my hand, but the idea of disturbing him right now wasn't the best one. He seemed to be deep in thoughts, maybe even regarding my recent question.

The living room in the forest hut was small but still cozy. Except for the sofa where I was sitting, there was also an old-looking gray carpet on the floor, a big bookshelf near Aiden with a lot of dusty books with faded covers, a table, and a few chairs near it, then something like a commode in the corner of the room. The pictures I saw on the walls reminded me of the drawings of some little girl, and after staring at them for over a few minutes, I got the drawings were mine. I was their author, and it was pretty clear because my father and I lived in this hut for a long time. And, I suppose, even longer than I can actually imagine. I have the feeling I spent here my entire life before my father died, and I was forced to mode to Dallas.

Something pushed me to stand up from the sofa and get closer to the drawings, carefully observing them. Mostly, I could easily spot a red-hair girl and a blond boy near her in the drawings, rarely I could see white and black wolves, and only in one drawing, I could see my father and his silver wolf near, like they were some separate creatures. I took the picture out from the wall and sat back on the sofa, staring at it like it was very important. Aiden's voice made me jump out of my skin.

"Because your father knew the death of one werewolf won't stop others from a desire to kill you and take his place. Letty, I never thought that butā€¦ He kept you here, away from the whole Pack, to protect youā€¦ to save your life from being taken," Aiden turned to me and fixed his gaze at my figure, that was currently looking at him, and squeezing the drawing. I blinked several times, then looked at the silver wolf standing near my father on the child's drawing.

"Indeed. It explains everything," I said, then put the drawing on the small wooden coffee table near the sofa, removed my sneakers, and hugged my knees with my hands. "How old were you when the Pack died?"

"Seven, you're two years younger than I am," he said, then looked in the window again, studying the rain drops as if they can give him some answers. However, deep in my soul, I knew he was looking for the right words. In a moment he continued, "We haven't heard even a single thing, just woke up in the morning, the guard told us about some fire on the nearest pack's territory. We went there to see andā€¦"

Aiden stopped and completely turned away from me to the window, hiding his facial expression and emotions. This time it was hard for me to guess what he was hiding, either tears or fear or maybe something elseā€¦

"When we came there, there was only ash and burned corpses. It was even hard to differentiate who was there, a male or female, the damage from the fire was ridiculous, as if it wasn't just a normal fire. We thought about some magic fire, but I doubt witches will do that without any specific reasonā€¦ Letty, I was so scared to find your dead burned body thereā€¦ So scaredā€¦"

I felt an urgent need to stand up, came closer and hug his back, and that's what I did. Put my head on his back and hugged him tightly, whispering to his back the words he needed right now to feel my support.

"I'm hereā€¦ with you."

"Father didn't let me go deep into the forest. They were taking care over that burned area, that ash and everything else. All the corpses were buried somewhere on the outskirts with all the honor we could make them. Your father and you weren't found among the bodies, so a few days after we coped with everything, father asked me to go with him to this forest hut. We knew about it from the beginning, and I remembered the road to it as to my own house, as I was always playing here with youā€¦" Aiden made a long pause, gathering all his thoughts and memories, and after a while finally said, "Thanks Moon God you were alive and didn't even know about what happened. No one even dared to tell you, me as well."

"It's hard to believe father waited for five years to burn his Pack. However, maybe he noticed some threat?" I asked, trying to understand what made him wait.

"Maybe he explained in his diary," Aiden said with his normal voice, then turned around and took my head in his hands, "You don't know what I felt there, looking for yourā€¦dead body. And I wish you never know that and never feel what I felt."

He pressed his lips to mine and I immediately opened my mouth, letting him in with his tongue and kissing him back. Aiden moved his hands from my head to my waist, pressed me tightly to himself and deepened the kiss, playing with my tongue in my mouth. I felt my body temperature raise up and closed my eyes, being unable to control myself.

Our kiss was something in between of hunger and lust. Aiden's body temperature raised up as well, I felt his heat and his lust conquering his body. The kiss became deeper and hungrier, I felt my body tremble in anticipation, and that was the moment when Aiden stoppedā€¦ again.

However, this time it was different. He turned me around, pressed me to the wall near the bookshelf, and asked me, looking into my eyes with his amber.

"Letty Black, do you accept me as your mate?"

"Yes," I said in no time, and at the same time, a sharp pain hit me out of the line. It combined with my lust, making me lose control completely and moan. I squeezed Aiden's hair with my fingers, squeezing my hand in the first with a part of his T-shirt on his back. He groaned, biting my neck, and put his hands at my hips, pressing me tightly to himself. I felt his lust on his nether regions, and it made my cheeks turn completely red.

The pain changed with some fire on my neck, as if someone was burning something there. I wanted to go to the bathroom and take a look at what Aiden left there, but my attempts were stopped by Aiden himself. I thought he would stop after the mark, as he stopped all the previous times, but he kept kissing my neck, making my whole body tremble.

"I want you and I can't resist it anymore." He suddenly said with his eyes burning like two amber stones, but instead of being scared or ready to push him away, I felt I'm ready for what he was proposing to me.

"Can youā€¦mark my wolf also?" I asked, licking his lips when he grabbed them in possession and started sucking them, stroking my hips with his hands. I saw lust in his eyes and in every cell of his body. None of us wasn't able to stop it anymore, it rose up so quickly, but was it really like that?

If we did have sex before, as Aiden said, then sooner or later it would hit us, demanding to unite our bodies in a lust dance again, after being kept in jail for so long.

"Not nowā€¦ It should be a run in the forest," Aiden said, then grabbed me, put his hands on my butt, pressed me to his body, and went with me to the bedroom as I supposed. He threw me on the bed and immediately kissed my lips hungrily, slowly taking his clothes off. I lost myself in his hungry kiss, helping him to remove his T-shirt, while he took away his jeans. My clothes were thrown in the direction of his quickly, and our almost bare bodies touched each other, making both of us burn from the heat.

"I want youā€¦" Aiden repeated, then stopped the kiss, put his hand gently on my neck, and looked into my eyes, seeking there for something I couldn't explain. I tried to look down at him as it was my first time observing his bare body after I lost my memories, and I bet his body changed over the last three years completely. He was muscled, and well-trained, and his every cell was filled with power. His body was ideal in all its meaning, but it wasn't so important.

What was the inside of his bodyā€¦ his soulā€¦ it was much more significant than his muscles. However, why not admire what you have in front of you?
