74- Why won't you leave me alone?

Noah

Diana left an hour later, making up an excuse to Matilda that she wanted to travel back to Cornwell. She avoided my gaze and did not reply when I bid her goodbye.

"She was clearly uncomfortable seeing you, what on earth did you do to her?" Matilda turned to ask on the stairs.

I let out a tired sigh, "I didn't do anything."

My gaze darted back to my watch as the time kept ticking.

"Why are you looking at your watch? We should go see the sunset?" Matilda grabbed my idle left hand and began to drag me outside. As we walked, I wondered where Daniel was. Each person we passed, bowed to I and Matilda and a smile widened on her face as we continued walking.

What a strange woman.

I took in the fresh air as my eyes looked at the numerous vases and the different colors and types of flowers tucked in them. I sighted a small fish tank where different breeds of sea creatures swarm in.
