84-Diving daggers through my heart

Ashley

I walked back into the bakery in a jiffy without looking back. My elbows were beginning to hurt because of the way I fell on the ground. I hissed as I pranced through the counter.

I dug my hands into my apron as I noticed Leo smiling at Belinda who was seated with a newspaper right in front of her.

She looked like someone who was smitten and in love. I fought the urge not to look at them but the urge to know what they were saying overcame me.

Emily placed a ceramic cup filled with hot chocolate on the counter and I asked, "Who's it for?"

"Belinda?" she shrugged while folding a white napkin on a brown tray and placing a spoon on it.

"I'll give it to her. "I suggested while grabbing the tray while spreading my lips to give her an assuring smile. I sauntering to the real end of the bakery, slightened by how much of a chatter box he was.

Wasn't he supposed to be hurt and quiet?

How could he be smiling and laughing?
