The man came back beaming. The smile on his face and his leisure movements showed how better he was from the time she had entered his office.

Gabi was already dressed up properly when he returned. A maid was handling her hair while another one was cleaning the sofa.

"So, what brought you here? I am sure you are not here for that?" there was a warm smile on his face.

Gabi did not know if the man loved her but he was smitten by her beauty and charms. She could see the care in his eyes and felt better. At least her efforts were worth it.

"Honey, you heard about my necklace, right?" she asked with an aggrieved look on her face, "that necklace cost me a fortune. And getting things stolen from my room, how will I face my staff, if things like that happened?"

"You did not need to worry about it. I will investigate the matter personally. Your respect is my respect, I will not let you suffer." he touched her hands and rubbed it softly when she cringed.
