Vivid Imagination

"Where are you going at this hour?" Alex halted in his steps when he saw Oli talking to Amber in the garden again.

His face had three deep lines on his forehead and Amber seemed to be crying again.

Her eyes were red and swollen.

"I think they exaggerated it. My mother was so angry, she had never raised her hands before. I.." she halted when she saw the shadow of Alex looming over her and took a step back in fear.

Oli held the hands of the girl as if assuring her and then asked in a faint voice, "do you need me for something?" her voice had a defensive tone that Alex paused.

Why was he there anyway? His eyes dimmed.

Just like how he thought about it yesterday, he had always believed that he was the most special one to him.

But from the looks of it…

He was not the only one who could affect his mood.

It was like there's something stuck in his chest which made him close his eyes.
