Pets and Worlds

How could a clown become famous? And Ajay managed to increase the progress of Main System tasks too. Dhvani had to agree that if a celebrity does a small thing, the next second it becomes a trend sometimes. But she never saw it with her own eyes. But now she had first-hand experience of this. How was this possible? His tasks seem to be completed automatically. She once again parroted her son of the heaven theory.

Unaware of all this, Ajay quietly entered the system mall and spend half of his skill points in the magic section. The colors swirling around would make anyone addicted. The people were crazy for magic-enhanced clothes. If they looked at what he was seeing, they would all take loans to live here.

The colors got mixed and created new shades. He especially liked the pink one floating in the cloud of aqua blue and white. And the light green one coiled itself around the orange one. The colors were playful enough that Ajay was immersed in their beauty. He wanted to understand how they interacted with each other. Were they like humans who talked?

If that were the case when a magic user absorbs magical elements, will they die? He didn't want these beautiful things to die. He felt it would be nice if he could communicate with them.

He gradually entered a state of oneness with the magical elements.

Dhvani also practiced her soul power in the meanwhile. Because she was bound to her host, if he improves his magic, she also got some benefits. She did not know that this was an effect of the connection of souls. This practice was very common between friends and family in the past in many worlds.

Those people did not have any bad thoughts so they easily transmitted their inferences and enlightenment through this bond. A very effective use.

The same bond was used as the link between the system and the host. This bond can be changed later according to the wish of the participants. It also included its breaking.

Dhvani felt that she was incredibly gifted in this area because she comprehended rather easily without any external enlightenment from the link. She grasped the usage and transfer of the sky magic with the soul power. The first thing she wanted to do after she was free was to test this. She only had theoretical knowledge but no practical experience. It was as bad as half knowledge in her opinion.

Because theory doesn't teach you as much as practice. Both are required for the perfect education.

She quickly consumed her soul power and became exhausted. She never thought that her days as a system would be so tiring. She realized that she shouldn't have fantasies about becoming a system before she died. She felt infinite fear for herself because she fantasized about many things. Like becoming a transmigrator, queen, and the hilarious one, a king.

Sometimes fantasies do come true. But you don't find them appealing anymore.

She then turned her attention to the system mall because hey, she earned points and coins. Because she was a system, she had a perk. She earned twice for the tasks she had been given. So she had a thousand from the first task plus a thousand from the second task and twice the thousand from her self-issued task.

She had four thousand skill points and thousand coins.

She could shop in the mall now.

Her side of the mall had improved. She had it like a street market. There were no vendors but the items in the stands were calling her enough. She found many cute dolls and they were like robots. She did need a butler to entertain the spirits. Also, she could build a garden in her house's backyard. Maybe she could get a pond dug too. So she bought two dolls. She exchanged them for two hundred coins.

They were animal prototypes. A black cat and a white cat. Like twins, they had the same features. She also bought many decorations like an adjustable bed. Also, she bought temperature-controlled clothes. She then marveled at the antique street.

The street was long and the roadside stalls covered everything. Each stall had its specialty. Some sold inks, while others sold pens. There were books, jewelry, clothes, utensils, paintings, flowers, fake flowers, antiques, and her personal favorite, gift boxes.

She bought a gift box and opened it quickly. Inside it was a palm-size plant that seemed to be sleeping. Don't ask how she knew. She thought so because it curled itself like a cat. Dhvani knew it was rude to disturb someone sleeping so she did not bother the plant. She resumed her walking and shopping.

By the time, she reached the end of this street, she ate many snacks. The food here was very tasty than in her real world. Her mother would be impressed. She decided to send this food to them when she got a wish card.

Then she moved to the other street. This street had all medical items. Dhvani avoided it because she knew she had fewer points. She didn't want to be in debt so early. She did the same in the musical, educational, entertainment, props, and even food area.

If the common area was this good, she didn't want to think about the specialized area she just visited. She went to the last empty one.

It lit up when she entered.

[Please enter a name to your street]

Wow. So the previous streets were opened by her co-systems.

She named it after herself. It was a thought from her.

[Pratidhvani]

She told the screen floating before her.

The name like its meaning echoed in the street.

Dhvani then decided what items she was going to sell. For starters, she would want entertainment activities here. So she needed a room. As soon as she thought, a room built itself before her. The building was free here, she thought.

She built an entertainment center with a movie hall, games arcade, a virtual reality arena, amusement parks, water parks, normal parks, playgrounds, and leisure areas with spas, hot springs, and luxury suites.

She wanted all the systems to enjoy living here and of course, make her rich. Then she can use their money to buy their products. But as always, you will wake up from a dream when you are the happiest.

[You need 10,000 skill points to open the street. Confirm?]

Dhvani almost got a heart attack. Where did she have those many points? It needed 10000 points to open. What about other activities? She should have known nothing is at discount at this mall.

Dhvani was instantly ridden with debt. But she also marveled at the idea. If you haven't worked hard on it, you wouldn't cherish it. And because she cherished it, she wanted it. A very good way to earn money.

She shed her nonexistent tears and came out of the mall to her abode. She put away her plant in shade near the window seat.

She decided to drown her sorrows with ice cream and tv shows. Tarsh like always came to eat free. She doubted if he had placed a feeler for her to know when she ate something.

"Sister, I made a big building in today's class."

"Oh, with clay?"

"No. We made it with 3-D printers."

Well, times have changed. She made clay toys and he made printed toys.

"Show it to me, then!"

She also wanted to see the big building.

It was big compared to him. The building looked like it had only one room on each floor.

"Don't you want other rooms?"

"What rooms do I want? He questioned back.

"For starters, bathroom. Kitchen and hall, maybe?"

"I have all those in my house. Both my houses," he answered.

Dhvani facepalmed.

"Really sister. Look, brother Ajay has a big house and father also has a big house. I don't need a house but my job was to build a building. No one gave me specifics. So I built one without anything. If you want anything ill make it like your ideal one."

Seeing her confused expression, he elaborated further.

"This one is for you. You can decorate it however you want."

He said pointing to the first floor.

"This one is for brother," he said pointing to the second floor.

Ajay's parents, sister, adoptive father, Tavish, and Tvisha all had one.

Dhvani felt confused and moved at the same time. Kids are wired differently. That being said, she never received such a thoughtful gift. Her brother mostly gave her money.

She designed the floor exactly the same as the luxury suite she had designed on her street. That again brought up her bad memories and she wanted to write a strongly worded letter to her boss. But thinking and doing are different. So she swallowed her annoyance back.

Seeing Tarsh happy, she also smiled. A happy person in your life is a good thing. Makes you want to be happy too.

He then moved around the house as if he owned it and she allowed him. He discovered the twin cats and was very happy. You would think that being around spirit animals would dampen his enthusiasm. But the cats became the most important living beings in his eyes that very second. cats do that to people.

He named them after pleading for a long while.

He named the white one Ratri and the black one Divas. He wanted them to be complete. The names were meaningful when considering their colors.

Dhvani knew the system transferred living beings shouldn't be robots. So she thought that these cats were from some other world.

When Tarsh was playing with the cats, the plant should have felt it. And thus began the loud wailing.

Dhvani quickly went towards the plant and the plant shed tears which were flowing like rivers. The plant had a face and leaves grew from its head, covered its body, and also became a ground-length dress. It wasn't like this when she brought it.

Its green face was wet with tears.

"Stop crying. You are a good plant, right? How can good plants cry?" Dhvani tried to soothe it.

But the plant kept looking at Tarsh. The plant had green eyes and it looked like an elf. A small elf, she never thought her dreams would become true. She grinned.

Tarsh reluctantly came back and seemed happy that he got a new friend. He took the plant to the cats to play. They played hide and seek and Tarsh was supposed to find them.

The cats rolled into balls near the sofa cushions and blended themselves into the environment. Very intelligent. The plant simply covered its face. Well, she probably didn't know that even if she can't see Tarsh. he could see her. A newly born plant was very naive.

Dhvani then remembered her host and looked into his spending. She had to remind him not to spend much.

He had already spent half his points. A good thing. That way he would want to earn more tasks and she could also get more points. Her street would be opened soon then. She still reminded him with an evasive attitude.

["Host, you have spent 1500 points. Do you want to continue?"]

Ajay who was lounging on his now red cloud jolted. He quickly came out of the mall and answered his system.

"No!"

She knew he would stop. She also felt that the main system task would be here soon.

As if answering her thoughts, it appeared. Maybe summoning is thinking sometimes. That's why you have to think good and positive and most importantly useful things.

[Main System Task: Save the Last Mermaid Group in the first dimension]

[Yes / No]

Ajay like always clicked it before realizing he didn't know what the first dimension was.

["The first dimension is the world several layers lower than your dimension. The development there seems unsuitable for the mermaid clan. Your task is to bring them safely to your world for time being."]

Dhvani read the system prompt.

That explanation wasn't any good. She felt it was very dangerous. If a third task was this difficult then further tasks should be exponentially difficult. Now her hopes of becoming a level 100 system were shattered.
