A man with no heart and no soul

Emma turned to see Ricker closing the door behind him. Panic rose in her veins, and she could hear her heartbeat.

Ricker stook staring at Emma with angry and scary expressions. He could feel Emma's discomfort, and he liked it. Emma deserves that. As Ricker took steps forward and start coming closer to Emma, Emma started trembling. She needed help, but she was scared to scream for help. She looked around for her phone. She could at least call someone. But where was her phone?

Emma saw Ricker pulling out her cell phone from his pocket. How did he get it? When did he take it? It was with Emma, and he never came close to her downstairs. Did he? Ricker smashed the cell phone on the floor, cracking it into pieces, and scattering it around the room.

Emma knew in her gut that she needed to get out of there. She needed to get away from Ricker. Emma tried to run for the door from the opposite side, but Ricker caught her. Emma struggled to get out of his hold, but Ricker was bigger, stronger, and at that point, angrier than Emma. Emma was more scared.

Ricker had his one arm around Emma's waist holding her down from her back, and Emma was trying to out of Ricker's clutches. She fought to release herself, but she could barely make any progress.

No one spoke a single word. There was only silence and whims and loud breathing noises. Ricker put another hand around Emma's shoulder and closed his eyes as he waited for Emma to stop fighting him. There was no point in it. He was not letting her go, and she was not going anywhere.

It took a while, but Emma and Ricker stood still, not moving at all, like a muse, as they were being painted.

Emma got overwhelmed, and she felt like crying. She suddenly put all her force to push herself away from Ricker, and she did for a moment, but Ricker pulled her closer, and this time with more strength and more force.

"Let me go" Emma screamed. She hoped anyone could hear her but the music and people downstairs could not listen to her. She knew it. It was very loud downstairs, and there was too much silence in the room for Emma to handle.

But Emma kept screaming for help as Ricker pulled her and pinned her against the wall. He holds Emma's neck to keep her mouth shut, and it did. Emma was fighting for breath, and there was no need for any other kind of struggle. Emma punched Ricker's hand, pinched, and buried her long nails only to break them. They barely hurt Ricker.

"You are not going anywhere. Not until I am done with you. And no one is coming for you. I promise. No one will disturb us. And I don't think you would want anyone to come here. The door is locked from the outside. People might not get any good impression if they will see us here, like this. But if you still want to invite people, go ahead" Ricker said. Ricker released Emma and Emma fell to her knees. "Shout. Shout as much as you want" Ricker said and mocked her.

Emma took large heavy breaths and said in her breaking voice, "so, this is what you want. You want to disgrace me. Shame me in the world"

Emma's words made Ricker angrier. He pulled Emma up and said, "I don't care about you or this entire world"

"In that case, stay away from me," Emma said.

"No, I am not done with you," Ricker said.

"What do you want from me? What else do you want from me?" Emma cried.

"You did a wrong thing, Emma. You should not have done that" Ricker said.

"I am not sure what you are talking about. I did nothing wrong" Emma said.

"You broke my heart," Ricker said, and Emma felt his pain, in his voice, in his words. She flinched on hearing that.

"I thought you never had the heart, to begin with," Emma said.

"I don't. You are right. You are so right, baby. I have no heart and I have no soul, but I have my name, and you challenged it, tried to ruin it, and you will pay. You should not have cheated" Ricker said in his strong, heavy, and scary voice.

"I never cheated you did. You were using me against my father" Emma said.

"Of course, I was. You are only worthy of using" Ricker insulted Emma.

Emma felt embarrassed and she started crying hearing Ricker's harsh words

"Did he use you too?" Ricker asked.

Emma was disgusted. She knew Ricker, and she understood his question.

"Maybe he did," Emma said.

"No, he didn't," Ricker said.

"You don't know that," Emma said.

"Oh, I know that, and you know it too," Ricker said.

Ricker pushed Emma and Emma fell on the bed. She felt a soft mattress against her back. Ricker climbed the bed and lay on top of Emma. Ricker pulled his lips closer to kiss Emma, but Emma turned her head.

"No. What are you doing?" Emma said.

"Nothing new" Ricker said.

"Ricker doesn't please. Please let me go" Emma said.

"Not like that" Ricker said.

"Ricker, I have nothing for you. You and I are done" Emma said.

"But I must have something. I should. Like a souvenir" Ricker said.

Ricker pulled up Emma's dress, and Emma could feel his cold palm touching his warm body, from her legs and going upwards. Emma stopped Ricker's hand as it reached her thighs.

"Stop, please. Please, please, please, stop. I beg you" Emma said with teary eyes.

"But I have no heart and I have no soul," Ricker said.

Ricker's hands reached above Emma's thigh as he felt the soft underwear, he reached to pull it down quickly.

"This will do" Ricker whispered, "for now"

Ricker stood up and put Emma's undies inside his deep pants pockets. He checked his clothes and fixed his tie.

Emma looked at him, and so many emotions were running through her mind. She knew he was called so many things but it was for the first time, Emma saw the real Ricker. He was not anything like the man she knew. This man was not a person at all.

"I hate you," Emma said, and Ricker did not respond. He did not ever glance at her. Emma stood and walked towards the door when Ricker heard a loud thud. Ricker saw Emma fall on the floor, and her forehead was bleeding.

Ricker went to check on Emma when he heard the door knock.

"Emma, are you there?" Theo asked.

Ricker opened the door, and Theo was shocked to see Ricker and Emma on the floor, unconscious.

"What did you do?" Theo asked.
