Hai Ruo Feng

Just as Li Jie was leaving the office building his sight fell on a plain office worker waiting at the entrance of the building. It was weird why Li Jie noticed her.

The woman waved in his direction confusing him. He turned behind by instinct to check if it was for someone else but that wasn't the case. He walked forward to the entrance with a heavy heart, in-country A the last thing he wanted was to meet people he knew from the past.

"Hello, president Li, from today onwards I will be your assistant. You can call me Emily." The woman smiled not noticing Li Jie's poker face at first but the scary glare was hard to ignore.

"Nice meeting you."

Emily hadn't seen someone change their expression as fast as the silver-haired did just now. Her eyes flashed before her excited chattered began. "I will also be responsible for your transportation until you stay in country A."

That being said Li Jie followed behind her to the parking lot.

*Sigh*

Emily heard a sighing voice behind her due to the parking lot being too silent. "You have never rode a bike before." She ask hurriedly seeing the reaction from Li Jie. She finally realised she was in fact working for rich second generation.

"That's not it, I have rode a bike before." Li Jie scratch his neck as if embarrased to mention it. "It crashed into pieces."

________

Li Jie got off the bike in front of the pub. The nightlife in country A wasn't as great as in-country T but the crowd still made Li Jie uncomfortable. After telling Emily to go back he entered inside which was easier than he initially thought.

As expected by Li Jie the girl followed behind him. Though Emily kept her distance Li Jie noticed her presence from the start. He quickly found his way towards the VIP rooms only to get bump into someone. But that person wasn't mature enough to forgive the mistake.

"ARE YOU BLIND!" The intoxicated man yelled at Li Jie. Making Li Jie move a step behind. He wasn't intimidated by the angry voice but the country A's language.

"I am sorry sir." Li Jie apologized to him immediately seeing the other person was drunk. He decided to get out of the situation. But his hand was caught by the drunk guy who didn't let go.

"No...you." The drunkard mumbled, a creepy smile spread through his lips. He got uncomfortably close to Li Jie before letting out a mocking chuckle. "You are the Xia family's little daughter in law." The man yell the sentence too loud as other people started to notice the commotion. Li Jie move a step behind, the drunk man was still holding him by one hand not letting go. He straightened his back taking a deep breath which went unnoticed by the man who was busy mocking him. He lifts his knee to swing in full force...

"What's taking you so long?..." Li Jie heard a similar drunk voice making him turn to face in that direction. He was raging from inside. The interruption when the fun was just beginning pissed him more.

"Chairman Bai? What a surprise!" Though his tone was questioning, his sharp blue eyes glare at the man mildly infuriated. But the slightly lifted lips saved him from looking like a hungry cannibal.

"Pre....sident Li?" All the alcohol chairman Bai consumed today seemed to have dissolved at the moment. He was quite shocked to keep his composer but too afraid to utter anything other than broken words.

"I am not here to make a commotion. Just hear to remind you to welcome me tomorrow." His smile widened as he put down his knee, both drunkards and passersby staring at him. He walked down the VIP floor heading towards the drinking counter.

He quickly grabbed a drink and finished it in one go. Not realise how strong it was until dizziness hit him. He put down the glass making a clinking sound. Only to meet with the frozen expression of the bartender. He calmly turned his head to the rightful owner of the drink. "I will pay for your drink today as an apology for taking your drink."

His dry tone barely sounded remorseful.

"I won't accept your apology." The man beamed turning the atmosphere around him full of colours. Li Jie stare at him with a sullen expression hearing his response.  He took a closer look at the man. The guy looked in his early 30s with his brown hair combed back. He was dressed in literally 'money'. If Li Jie had the time to count, it would be millions.

Li Jie sighed internally.

"I can accept your apology, if you have drinks with me." The man pointed at the empty chair beside him.

'Sure enough! This was another bored rich dude.' Though Li Jie sat down down he was slightly unhappy. But soon got into playing his role as the latter's drinking partner.

The bartender saw the seen unfold in front of his eye but he was wiser than before. His expression didn't change as he professionally kept serving them the drinks.

Li Jie got to know few things about the man while talking. On one hand the man looked mysterious but he also doing all the talking. The person was named Hai Ruo Feng. Li Jie sipped his drink contempting how that was a nice name.

"So, you own a small business Mr Hai? That must be lot of work." Li Jie doubted if it was really a small business. But didn't care preying further. He was starting to get drunk but the drinks were to good to stop.

"It isn't, there are people working under me. They do most of the work." The man abruptly stop talking to look at his phone before typing something and getting back in the conversation as if nothing happened

Li Jie had lost his guard due to alcohol letting go of a clear red flag.

After an hour or so,

"...Li Jie...Jie...Can you hear me?...Stand up on your legs take my shoulder." Li Jie did as the voice said his legs were wobbly but he was still aware of his surroundings. If sober he would have smacked his drunk self for doing what a stranger said.

"Bo....Sir?"

"Sir, were are you taking president Li?"

Two men approached as Hai Ruo Feng supported Li Jie.

One of them was more than 6 ft tall, it was clear he was professionally trained on the first sight. While the other was relatively weak looking, he wore a plain shirt with glasses. And the one who ask the question.

The man paused. He glanced at the silver-haired leaning on him. Before answering in a honest tone.

"Assistant Chen, he is drunk I am taking him to rest."

Assistant who got the answer wasn't satisfied. If possible he would have screamed 'you got him drunk.' But the person next to him put a hand on his shoulder warning him to not go any further.

Hai Ruo Feng finally felt accomplished but another objection came flying. Emily who had forgotten she was here for her boss. Finally showed up. She looked completely sober despite spending one and half hour in the bar.

"Where are you taking him?" She was huffing after frantically running to stop these men. "I am his assistant. I can drive him back." She didn't waited for other party to react as she moved to grab Li Jie's arm.

"Miss, you can't drive back after drinking." Hai Ruo Feng douged her hands carefully without waking up Li Jie. His meaning was clear for Emily. 'F**k off.'

"Assistant Chen, why don't you escort this lady home. It's late at night." Emily took a step back as soon as she heard it. She gave Assistant Chen a dirty look which both the men wanted to deny or erase from their memory.

To avoid any further uninvited troubles that could come up if they stayed there, Hai Ruo Feng lifted the youth and walked straight to the third floor carrying him princess style not caring about the stares from other customers.

Emily tried to stop him but only to get slowed down by assistant Chen and the other guy.
