Walked Away

Truth be told, Alora could feel nothing but blind terror walking alone and hearing any kind of sound. She feared the blonde man who had obsidian eyes would chase after her again.

Yet she didn't want to go back to Arihan and ask him to send her back to the palace. It wasn't because of his indifference but her grown expectation. She didn't want to be hurt by her own belief.

If she stays alone for a few days, she will be accustomed to the absence of Arihan. Won't she?

She almost freaked out when Vidor suddenly appeared next to her. Her erratic heart calmed down when she identified him.

Vidor watched her silently while waiting for her to compose. He had met her during the spring festival and at the borders of Anka and Zand. She was fun, active, full of energy, at the same time dedicated to her work. The one he was seeing now was a petrified lady. She was afraid to even be herself.
