Ares stomped the ground, not caring about the bruise that he got on his belly. The impact was strong enough to make him want to stay on the ground forever, but the adrenaline of the Colonel's challenge made him push forward regardless of the pain.
Ares attacked using his battle axe again, swinging it with all his might towards Hera. However, he didn't stop in the first attack. Instead, he unleashed a flurry of blows, something that was very difficult to do with an axe for anybody else.
'I know how to use the momentum of the axe and its exaggerated weight for my own advantage. I can create a pattern of swings that won't decrease the number of attacks that I can unleash per second! This way, I am not only a brutal fighter but a reasonably fast one as well!'
Hera was impressed by Ares' battle style. It was another thing that he learned how to do by himself. After many fights, he could see what he lacked, and how to fix those mistakes.
