~INTO THE DARK WOODS~

NO ONE IN THE GROUP had any idea how long they'd been wandering the forest. Not even the slightest. It could be days, weeks even. Since their hurried departure from the Moor, Marsil and his three friends had travelled a good distance but it seemed they were locked in acres of Dark Woods.

With the height of the large trees and spread of their branches, minimal sunlight creeped into the forest. Barely any sliver radiated deep enough for the group of friends to make out the time of day. Thus, the conundrum before then.

How long had they been in the Dark Woods?

The Forest seemed to go on and on, and no matter how far they travelled, each tree they passed seemed to look the same as the one before. They had gone so deep into the dark woods that they could no longer hear the sound of chirping birds. Neither tittering rodents.
