Ren woke up in an unfamiliar place. She is inside a small hut. She went outside and saw a marvelous cave. Unlike other caves, this one is very big and spacious.
The giant limestone cave has trees reaching for its rooftop openings. However, its remote location makes it challenging to get to and limits the number of visitors who are able to catch a glimpse of this stunning sight.
It has a rooftop opening that allows the sun to shine through. The cave's atmosphere is tranquil and serene. The in-flowing sunlight contrasts with the cave's darkness to create a mystical sensation. A forest growing within the cave makes it a bright and colorful natural attraction.
She can see some huts all over the caves. Now she is wondering how she got there and who took her there. She then sat on the small wooden chair beside the hut she came from.
"Where is this place, and how did I end up here? All I remember is that we are on the mountain top, and I am chasing hares."
She covered her mouth in shock. "Did I die from falling off the cliff? Is this heaven? Oh my gosh, what am I going to do? How about my husband and son?" She said, crying.
Noah, who heard what she was mumbling about, laughed and talked to her. "I don't know where that heaven is, but I can tell you now that you are definitely well and alive." He is at the top of the hut where she was staying.
Surprised, she stood up and almost fell.
"What a clumsy little female indeed." Noah, though to himself, while he went down and caught her on time.
"Oh, thank you." She shyly said.
"No worries. I know you have a lot to ask. Let me answer all of it one by one, okay?"
He looks at her and thinks that she really is so pretty up close. "You are here in Eagle cave. Where we the Eagle Clan live. This place is so isolated and very remote that it is almost impossible for other beast men to reach. Everyone who lives here is relative by blood. Our Elder from which our father and their father and their father came from lives in the middle over there."
Ren interrupted him. "So you're telling me that he is still alive until now?"
Noah laughed, "Yes, he is. alive and strong."
"Wow, that must be nice." she replied.
"In our clan, once we reached the ages of twenty-five years old, we never really grow old." He said sadly.
"Are they vampires or something? But he said eagle. They don't grow old." She thought to herself.
She then looked at him, "Why do you look sad? Isn't that supposed to be good?"
"How can it be good if we live longer than our female mates? In our clan, there's never been a female off spring. So most of us here are either men or boys."
"Oh, I'm sorry. You are right, that is sad."
She looked everywhere and noticed that there wasn't a single person around.
Noah, who is looking at her, knows what she is thinking. "Everyone is either hunting or just staying at their own hut." He said, smiling.
Ren smiled at him, too. "Okay. May I ask what happened? And how did I end up in here?"
"About that, I saw you falling off the cliff. Those beast men with you didn't even noticed so I ended up saving you. You passed out maybe because of shock from falling, so I brought you here in our place. I don't know your beast friends, so I didn't bring you to them. They might see me as a hostile or an enemy."
"I understand, but one of them is my mate. He must be going crazy now looking for me."
Noah felt sad hearing about it. He is wishing that this little female has no mates yet. "If he is your mate, he should focus on you more and take good care of you. If I wasn't there, you could have died, you know?"
"It's not his fault. I am just too careless." She replied.
"And you are clumsy too."
They both smiled and laughed.
Ren is curious, "By the way, thank you for saving me. I really owe you one. May I ask for your name, please?"
"Noah, my name is Noah."
