Lucas, Amaiah and Nala

"Come in." Elder Benjamin greeted Noah and Ben with a smile.

Both Noah and Ben went inside the hut and sat down on the wooded chair.

"Thank you elder Benjamin." Noah said politely.

Elder Benjamin holds his walking stick, sat down on the chair across Noah and Ben. "What is it that made both of you visit the old man like me today?"

"Elder, Noah here has some problems regarding a female he likes. He's afraid that maybe the female might be scared of our clan and not like him."

Noah looks sad immediately after Ben said those things.

Elder Benjamin can sense the sadness in him. "I understand what you're feeling. I grow old and turn gray without getting myself a mate." He explained.

"I was asking Ben why do other beast hates us so much for them to make a rumors that we are a bad and barbaric kind of beast people. As far as I know, we are one of the gentlest beasts out there."

"We really are." Ben agrees with Noah.

Elder Benjamin thinks for a moment before he answers them. "As we elders have explained it to the youngsters like you, we get this feeling of sadness in our hearts. But we need to tell you all of these things so that you will tell it to the future youngsters in the clan."

Noah and Ben look at each other and nod.

"Is it okay if you can tell us the story why the other beast hated us and why do they see us as barbaric and savages?"

Elder Benjamin sigh and think. "Okay then, but you better listen very carefully, so that you will understand fully the reasons why."

Both of them nod.

"It all started when the first people of our clan met a certain lady. Her name was Amaiah. Back then, we are just regular eagle beast clan. We were born normal and we grow old as usual, I mean like the other beast grow old, we are also like that too. You both know that today our people grow old, but it takes too much long time that our mates died before us. If a normal beast can live up to a hundred or maybe a hundred and fifty, we the eagle beast clan has the ranges of three hundred to four hundred years old. It actually depends if the person is ill, then maybe that person will die early. But for some reason, we in our clan have a very good health."

Elder Benjamin stopped. He stands up and made a tea for the three of them.

The eager Noah and Ben and patiently waiting for the story to continue.

Elder Benjamin dips a cup of tea and continue. "As I was saying, our ancestors met this lady name Amaiah. A man in our clan had fallen in love with her, his name was Lucas. He will visit her every day. Bringing her a lot of gifts. Taking her into every good spot that he knows. Then the day comes that Amaiah fall in love with Lucas too. They became a mate. Amaiah became pregnant with a baby girl. Lucas was so happy that he promised Amaiah that he will take care of her and their baby and she will be the only female that he will be mated with."

Noah interrupted the story. "Wait, so we use to have female offspring in our clan?"

With a sad expression, elder Benjamin answered. "Yes, we do."

"Okay, then what happens?" Noah asked.

"But then one female in our clan are so jealous of Amaiah. Her name was Nala. She has been secretly in love with Lucas. She instigated a plan to ruin their relationship, thinking that Lucas will fall in love with her if she do. Nala who is one of the prettiest girls in our clan, talked with some of our men who like her and promise to be intimate with them afterwards to lure Amaiah in a place where Lucas can see that she is unfaithful to him."

Ben face palm, "I can see now where this story is going."
