Escape the town

Abel put whatever that statue might represent at the back of his mind. Escaping this place was his main priority.

From the number of buildings he could see, he could guess that this was a town and was not as large as a city. He could see the wall made of bricks that encircled the entire town. It was not too far away but was not close either.

The streets looked deserted as it seemed like most of the inhabitants of this town were likely at the gates fighting off their attackers.

"Follow me," he said and sprinted into the streets. There was no specific order in which the houses were built and this made it easier for them to slowly move closer to the wall without worrying too much about being spotted.
