Sitted under a tree , rita was thinking of how she ended up being a successful business woman tears were threatening to fall out of her bright light brown eyes , she was a epitome of beauty her long brown hair that was unique , long lashes , bright and fair smooth skin and lastly her perfectly tone body that always makes her the center of attention anyway she goes to.
"Here you are , I've been looking for you everywhere ri , are you okay "Jason asked curiously because she was happy when he left , only to come back seeing her gloomy and deep in thought.
'"Rita , rita "he tapped her shoulder making her slightly flinch .he sat beside rita and held her soft palm . "ri tell me what's going since you came back from the trip you are always lost in thought "jason asked worriedly . rita looked up to the man beside her who she is going to get married in a few days then her memories went back to the past .

"Ikedi,ikedi please leave me alone,you're hurting me"rita pleaded with tears flowing freely from her eyes. This was what always happen when ikedi got drunk or when his angry . he just frustrate everything on his wife."shut up , stupid woman"he continued punching her,not caring that their little daughter is crying watching everything that's happening.
"Ikedi,please if not for me but for my daughter,our daughter,she's young to see all this".
"Leave my mummy alone "little ella begged in tears while trying to drag her dad away
"Get out you little brat" he pushed her away ella triped and hit her head on the table with force.
"Aaah, mummy" she cried heavily now,blood start to rush out of her head immediately ikedi left the house not caring about his unconscious daughter. I Quickly
Rush to my daughter.
"Ella,ella open your eyes your mommy is here " I cried placing ella on my bossom .
"Help, help" I screamed rushing her out of the house with ella on my hands. Some of the neighbors who heard me rushed out.
"What happened,mama ella" one woman asked
"Don't tell me your husband beat you up again" The other asked.
"Please ,there's no time for question's help me my daughter is bleeding" I pleaded in agony. Immediately my neighbours helped me rush my daughter to the nearby clinic.
"Doctor , doctor "I yelled like a mad woman with my tattered clothe covered in blood not minding about it, despite the eyes that were on me . just then, a nurse came to us with a wheel chair,I looked at my poor girl with blood all over her body . I myself was in a lot of pain but I have to be strong for my daughter. I followed the nurse to the ward while using my wrapper to wipe the blood on Ella's face.
"Madam ,can you wait here while I take her in and call a nurse to attend to you , you don't look so good " the nurse said.
"I don't really care about my health now take her in "I said almost half yelling.
She took my daughter in, I fell on the floor starting to sob when someone touch my shoulder,I looked up to see my neighbor, sia. She bend down to my level and I quickly hugged her.
"Let it out " she said while caressing my hair and before I know couldn't keep my eyes open , I fell unconscious.
I opened my eyes slightly to see myself on a bed with drip and a bandage on almost every corner of my body and the smell of drugs which I dreaded the most about hospital surrounded me . I was about to get up wondering how got here then I remembered ella , how is she ? Is she okay? I hope there's no cause to worry? I removed the drip from my hands .
"Madam no don't get up , you have not recovered" "where's my daughter"I asked directly "relax, she's fine and resting in the room " she said making me singh in relief "now can you lie down ma'am"the nurse pleaded
"No I want to meet my daughter that's final"I spoke with authority in my voice .
"Ma'am please try to understand I was ordered to stay with you and not let you leave here until the arrival of the doctor".
"You won't understand and I'm not ready to argue with you, so please leave I'll be back " I replied shifting her from my way , I still felt uneasy but I managed to walk.
