In the east of the capital, we visited an art exhibition. Inside, many displayed colorful paintings, including one in which Angelo stared at an ocean scene. Angelo glances at the image, "Ugh... what is this?"
Ivan Aivazovsky painted it. Based on his signature on the right bottom corner of the painting, Angelo used to paint; now, he has not touched a single brush since then, so I'll have to look after this guy after what happened last week.
"So, what are you doing?" I said at Angelo from behind, he was surprised by this and tried to turn around, but I stopped him by pressing my rifle's barrel from his back head. He had no choice but to calm down, and he lowered his armed.
"you have some explaining to do."
Mateo told his student with a severe tone of his voice, and I could see that my younger brother was starting to shake, so we calmed him down and sat him on a nearby bench on the rooftop.
"I-it seems as if it were just a dream; these vivid memories started to flow in my head after getting shot at,"
Angelo explains his experience on why he acts oddly. Mateo picked this up when he listened to Angelo's vague story; he looked at me and nodded, and I stepped away from Angelo so he wouldn't hear us.
"So the other you from a different use my younger brother as messenger…."
"Yes, it seems that the other me is trying to give us a warning of some sort, but for now, you should look out for him. Then again, I think he'll avoid me for now."
"I'll take it that you're here because you're going to be investigating the murders and missing cases in the east, don't you."
"Yeah, that's the plan."
After that, yesterday we found ourselves in the Art exhibition, but I felt like someone was watching us from a distance. Upon turning around, I see one figure in the crowd, a lady dressed in a gorgeous outfit. She holds the fan to her chin and slowly exposes the fan's backside. she then turns and heads towards the exit, "so that is my cue for me to leave." I whisper, and I look back at Angelo,
"I have to go now, and I have a business to deal with, and here some pocket money; treat yourself, see ya."
"Wait, what?"
Before I could say anything to my elder brother, he left me behind as he gave me little money that could afford snacks. In the meantime, (what am I supposed to do here).
After wandering through the art exhibition without thinking about what I was supposed to do, I immediately stopped when I saw a painting depicting the guillotine that executed Louis XVI.
"This was the time of the French revolution, a time of enlightenment and hungry mobs."
As I looked at the painting, o heard as well a person who was also beside me. I glanced at the man, who was also interested in this art, and said you know this? To which he replied,
"Yeah, I have read it in history books. Say, do you like history, mister?"
"Pretty much have read it a few."
"....''
"An art without knowing the purpose behind it, The French people see the king as useless choosing to ignore the needs, which led to his people turning against him, ultimately leading to his death."
"Why do you think he failed to do?" the man asked me a trivial question. It took me a moment to think of an answer,
"The reason for his fall was his ignorance, and he chooses to ignore the problem instead of trying to solve them."
the man nodded and continued his opinion on history; after talking for a minute, he looked at my hands and commented,
"My guess is you a painter?"
"No… I used to paint as a child, although I don't anymore…."
"Speaking of the topic of art, this reminds me that there's a painting submission contest where the winner gets to get his or her art displayed in this exhibition."
"Is that so…"
I mean, I don't care about the contest much. Then again, artists only participate in this kind of contest for the fame and money,
"They also can be receiving 10,000 pounds."
"They will be receiving what now?"
Before I could ask the man for more information, the man left me like how a brother goes. (OH, COME ON!) With this, I can repair the pocket watch and the damages that I cost broke during the fight. An excitement-filled moment I the art exhibition and then head back dorm for the whole day.
The sky turned dark as the sun switched with the full white moon, the street was dead silent without any sound nor folks walking in the night, and the shops in the district were closed. The people choose to stay at home early because of recent events that have been happening in this area.
Two running footsteps chase another; three steps lead them into an alley; the moonlight illuminates the path, and they discover a dead body lying on the ground. Upon closer inspection, they concluded the victim was sucked dry, "This is getting out of hand."
Francis whispers as he approaches the corpse, kneeling to close the victim's eyes with two fingers, "You may rest, friend." Francis says as the two give the time moment to mourn the poured soul.
