Knock knock*
I knocked at the wooden door, checking again if Hugo was still alright; I know at the door again, but I got no response; this is getting nowhere, Angelo thought to himself. as he struggled to find a way to make Hugo come out of his room.
Angelo has been sleeping in the guest room since Fiona was taken away by her father without explanation. Hugo has ignored us ever since.
"What a stubborn boy; let me handle this!"
"Sure.. wait to hold on; don't just break the damn door?"
Lula raises her dominant feet to force her way inside the room and opens the door with full force, throwing it to the side and causing it to open. Both of us walked into the room as the light was off.
The yellowish tint of the other half of the window shone in the afternoon light throughout the room.
Upon entering the room, they see Hugo sitting at his bed with no reaction when we came in. we approached him, but Hugo didn't seem to care one bit as we barge inside, could talk with him; we asked the very same question every time we tried to speak to him,
"Okay, Hugo, seriously, you haven't been attending classes since for the past few days; what's going on? You can tell us."
"….."
"Listen here, Hugo, if you're thinking about Fiona, she doesn't hate you, alright?"
"…."
Hugo counties to stay silent; he just sat there and stared at the outside window. With now replied, as we mention Fiona's name, the more Hugo deteriorates like an old unwater plant. as then Alicia comes inside furiously, with her wheelchair. she then pushes it towards the unfazed Hugo,
Alicia raises their left hand and smacks Hugo's face. Hugo and the two standing behind her are shocked by the sudden. Alicia then shouted,
"stop acting all whinny, aren't you a man! My best friend just got dragged out by her father without reason, and you just let it go. Do you even love her?" Alicia said.
"…."
"Answer the damn question, dammit!"
Alicia has enough of the silent treatment that Hugo is giving; she then leaps out from her wheelchair and grabs Hugo's collar as she struggles to stand appropriately.
Lula and Angelo try to calm Alicia down; they put her back in the wheelchair because she is not yet ready to walk correctly.
The two finally calm Alica down, as Hugo chooses to ignore them, and finally, the trio gives him space.
As they are all about to leave, Angelo looks back at a depressed Hugo and tries to say the last few words before he closes the door,
"If you ever need help, I'm always right here." Hugo heard this and saw Angelo stepping out and finally closing the door.
Hugo sat there, staring at the wooden closed door, alone in a room with total silence in the afternoon; as hours passed, the room became dark, Hugo was now lying on his bed and staring at the ceiling, and Hugo's mind became banked. He doesn't know what to do or think, but all he knows is that something isn't right.
Why did she bluntly admit that she hated him? Hugo thought as; furthermore, he looked back he noticed before they left; he then remembered Fiona's exact face before they left; she shed a single tear in her eye as they left the dorm.
Without hesitation, Hugo is now bored and decides to he stood up from his feet to do something; Hugo looks around the room to find anything. that he could use to kill time; he glances over his desk to see nothing, only a few blank pages and three piles of a textbook on the floor.
Hugo then turns around at Angelo's desk to find a few pieces of desk paper works and a Canvas with a lousy sketch, reminding Hugo that Angelo failed the competition because he didn't follow them.
When he opened the door, he was surprised to see Angelo sitting beside the front door.
His arms crossed together as if he was waiting for someone.
Angelo then notices Hugo opening the door and says, "Oh, so you finally came out, huh, what do you so long?" feeling bad for making Angelo wait, Hugo then bows down at Angelo,
"S-Sorry for acting all chi---,"
"I know you will ask, but first, someone is waiting for you."
As Angelo pointed out his thump at the right corner of the hallway, Hugo came to see what Angelo was talking about.
As Hugo turns right at the corner, he sees a bunch of people sitting in the lounge area, one girl with reddish hair has both her legs crossed and her arms as well, and another in a wheelchair stares back at him.
And sat on a long sofa, one of them was reading a magazine and had brown hair on their head, and the other was similar to Angelo, who both had dark hair. Theresa stands beside Alicia, a woman who is still lab coat and looks older than them.
As the people at the lounge glanced at Hugo, they all composed themselves and made serious expressions, epically Theresa.
She then walked toward Hugo without talking and gave him a folded paper. The back of it has a recipient's name it was Hugo the letter was for him. Then gently unfolds the letter, and it reads,
