Seeing her in school after everything, it was like they were seeing her for the first time.

"Why is everyone staring at you?" Maya raised her eyebrow at Serena from the attention she was evoking in everyone.

Something didn't seem right to her, she tried to ignore the hushed whispers in the hallways but it was hard when everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at her.

Maya tensed at the sound of the male voice behind them. She didn't dare look back or raise her voice to comment on his statement.
