The driver stared at his boss and double-locked all the doors to the car. Maya saw this, and her heart fell.

She was starting to see why the world was so afraid of The Jax Easton. The man had a devilish side that went against his angel side.

He had a way with his words and actions that gave one the illusion of an angel.

Making them forget that the devil too was once a devil and when they least expected it, his horns appeared out of nowhere and drove a sharp dagger through the illusion.

Maya panicked. Her heart drummed in her chest, causing her to see how she buried herself I'm the hole that she dug.

She took Jax out of the school to talk to him away from Serena so that they wouldn't be disturbed. It didn't occur to her that Jax might be upset as such she went on to release her frustrations at him without a care.
