Chapter One Hundred Ten

Marcus smiled broadly and immediately hugged his mother when he saw Macy was waiting outside the classroom. Macy lifted Marcus’ body and hugged him tightly. She also kissed her son's head before lowering him back down. One by one, Marcus’ classmates left the classroom and were followed by their teacher, who greeted her briefly before walking towards the teacher's room.

"How was your day? Pleasant?" Macy asked as she slightly smoothed the boy’s hair.

Marcus nodded enthusiastically. “Today, in music class, we learned a new song. Our music teacher said that we will perform the song at the summer festival."

"Is that true? It must be fun,” Macy said. Then she glanced at Director Manahan, who was watching their interaction. “Oh yeah, sweetheart, say hello to Director Debbie Manahan.”

Marcus noticed that there was a strange woman standing not far from them. The woman smiled and greeted him. He then bowed in greeting.

“You are a polite boy, Marcus,” said the Director.
