"Your dad called me," he replied. He looked at what books she was picking up. "So, you have started training?" he raised his eyebrows. He thought this daughter would forever be useless and depended on the family, will forever be hiding behind their back. Looks like not.
She could assume why he asked that. He would probably report it to Amelia. "Yes, I have to eliminate my enemies properly." She smiled.
It did look like a friendly smile, but it was not.
The doctor couldn't understand if that was on purpose or not, but thinking how everyone here trusted him, he took it as something positive. "Enemies could be strong, you know?" while it did sound like a warning adults would give children, it was defiantly a mockery.
"If they are strong, I would run for being the strongest,"
"That's a nice thinking," the doctor burst into laughter. 'The frog inside well doesn't know about the outside world,' he thought as he kept showing his teeth. Wiping his tears out, "Okay, I have to go now. I have an important appointment after this," he said as he looked at his watch.
Now that she knows what the doctor actually is, each sentence was clear and how they were mocking her. "Right doctor, you should hurry up. You might be late," she waved him goodbye. 'Let's see how you will get out of this place today. I won't let you report anything to that bitch.'
She hid her books near her dad's favourite plant. It was somewhere no one would dare to check without his permission. He would always come here to take care of them himself, this was his relaxing time and favourite thing to do besides guns.
After hiding those books, she then dashed to her father's room. She placed her ears at the door, hoping to hear something but nothing…
The room was empty when she pushed open the door. She looked at the table and the freshly brewed teacups were there. Looking at their steam, it was made just a few mins before, 'They could be coming here anytime.'
Hiding inside her father's closet, she made sure nothing looked suspicious and moved.
Click* the door opened. She assumed it was them. She bent down and looked through the keyhole. It was them.
"So what do you think about the deal?" the doctor sat down on the couch.
Father sat after him.
This was extremely rude of the doctor as he sat down without the permission of the host. Evy frowned, "shameless," she tched.
"From what you explained, it's pretty good. But I will have to review the terms and conditions one more time."
The doctor was sly. "of course, madam Amelia is desperately waiting for your answer." that was his biggest mistake.
As soon as she heard the word, she lost it. All the feelings she had gathered burst up.
She opened the closet door with a bang.
In his reflex, the dad quickly took out his gun and pointed in the direction but saw his precious daughter fuming with anger
"Evy… what happened.." he struggled to calm her down, fury was written in her eyes. He didn't know what had got her to this point. 'was it my fault?'
The doctor got terrified and wondered if she knew the truth. But how? She was just a small frog who lived inside a well her whole life.
"Evy..." her dad said again. He stood up and tried to walk in her direction.
"Dad, do you trust me?" he froze the question What had made her doubt it?
"Of course I do"
"More than that bastard sitting in front of you?"
"Yes"
"Point the gun at him." She stated as she took out the rope she had found in his closet. She came closer and closer and the doctor freaked out with each step she took. He tried to run away. That was the only thing he could think of.
"Move an inch and you will die the most horrendous way" his voice was cold and demanding completely different from what he was hearing till now.
'if death had a voice this would be it,' He started trembling as he moved his gaze to the gun, then his eyes. Is this the reason everyone fears him?
This vibe around him had suddenly gotten cold and chilly, intensive and scary.
"H-how can you trust this kid?" he started freaking out more, he knew if they found out who he works for dying would be better than living.
She tied him within seconds and pushed him to the floor. The rope was so tight, that he couldn't move an inch. Now that she is somewhat stronger, she could easily tie someone so tightly that they could barely breathe.
"Mr. hills this is a mistake, let me go." he tried to break through the ropes but failed.
Dad stood up and caressed her hair. "It's okay...I trust you but I need to know the reason"
"If you promise not to scold me…"
"I promise"
"Do you remember a few days ago you caught me sneaking out?"
"Yes,"
"That day I was stalking him and I found out he works for Amelia."
"daughter… we all know that,"
"B-but Amelia is John's lover," Evy got confused if that day she misunderstood, 'no….there is no way I would forget her voice,'
"Amelia is 80 and has 2 children. How will she be John's lover?"
"No, it must be a fake identity. Amber is around 26."
"Fine, I will look up to it more. Got to your room," he said and took out his cell phone from the bag.
"Son looks like we found a betrayer."
She nodded and went back to her room.
Her father knew exactly what to do to him. "If what she claimed is true, get ready to see hell."

She grabbed her books and headed for her room. When she opened the door she found the devil resting in her bed, which the maid cluelessly cleaned the room.
"You can go," she said to the maid.
"Me!?" the devil jumped.
"No not you," she said loud enough that the maid could hear.
"Miss?" she got confused and a little bit scared.
Evy realized what she had just done, she didn't want to be called crazy. "Leave,"
She quickly ran out.
The devil giggled, "Darling, there will be so many rumours about you coming soon," he jumped from the bed flying in mid-air again. "The young miss got crazy by the training!" he swung open his arms trying to be dramatic.
"The young miss lost her little braincells," He swayed back and forth, "The young miss requires mental health!"
She stared at him, expressionless just a blank stare.
"You are no fun," He said giving up.
"Thank you." she smiled. "What are you here for?"
"Right," rubbing his hands together he took out a bouquet of red roses, "Congrats on passing out the mission,"
"Oh, thanks," she gladly accepted them. "You're not here for just that, are you?"
"Of course not, I am here to tell you about the new mission." he rubbed his hands together and took out the map. It was the map of this area.
He pointed at the woods, "Around here, lies Evy's most important memory which will be helpful for your revenge, find it," he handed the map and left.
"W-what? How?" She shouted a bit louder but the devil, himself was gone. Groaning in annoyance she fell onto the bed and kept looking at the map.
She wanted to go to the woods that night and find something that might give her a hint of what she was looking for. She also realised it's too late to do anything like going out. But what everyone knows is… Eve rarely listens.
She wore the darkest dress she had and the head of the hoodie covered her face. Taking the back door as the exit, she went into the woods without thinking more.
