Entering Holy Spirit Village

On a hill in Holy Spirit Village, a kid is seen cultivating his inner energy. He has unkempt, black hair with slightly tanned skin and bruises in his palm and wrist. He may seem like a poor kid but his facial expressions and eyes seem to hold an expression as if he has years of experience being an adult. Such eyes which seem to see through everything, as if he is starting through your soul is the reason why other kids from the village don't come near him as they feel they are looked at with contempt and disdain. Tang San seems to be hostile to them as they always there is a knife hanging on their throat the moment, they come near to him though no one can say why they feel like that near just a 6-year-old kid. This is why even adults avoid him and his decadent dad. Well, decadent we might say, but actually he is a strong soul master, a level 95 Title Douluo, the Clear Sky Douluo, holding the Clear Sky Hammer, the world's number 1 tool martial spirit. He is also deemed to be the youngest title Douluo. Well not for long though as after nearly 15 years, his son would break his record under normal circumstances. But now, as Xiao San, an irregularity as stepped into this world, would history still take its original course, or will we see something new. Let's find out.

"Sister Ye, I believe you should roam around in the village try to know people and become acquainted. I don't really know when the Martial Soul Hall will send people to awaken our Martial Souls. Meanwhile, I am going to try and sneak up on San, well seems impossible but I have to know about our future enemy." Xiao San whispered.

"Why can't I go with you too Onii? I could help you as well."

"Well there's no doubt you want to help me, but you just don't realise how sinister Tang San actually is. He is so good with words that he could fool even a God. In the original timeline he played with his words so well, that his lover had to give up her dreams for which she came to the world. Actually his girlfriend was a soul beast who transformed into a human to take revenge for her mom's death. But San diverted her attention so well that she forgot her original purpose. He even made a situation where she had to willingly sacrifice herself to become a source of power for him just like his dad did. Like Father like son. Can see the resemblance."

"Oh yeah I remember, you are talking about when that girl sacrificed to become a soul ring right? Yea. It always bothered me why he didn't first break through level 59 fast and get a soul ring but go to meet her. It was as if he is asking her to voluntarily become his soul ring. I feel so sad for the girl." Ye said with tears in her eyes."

"Well don't worry. Now that I am here, I won't let history repeat its course. Let's go on with our plan. But how is the System gonna help us?" Xiao San pondered.

"HAAAA. Whew! You got me scared outta my wits." Xiao San exclaimed.

"I saw you staring into the distance thinking about something. Is something on your mind?"

"Well… There seems to be an old man coming towards us. It seems he wants to ask who we are." Xiao San muttered.

"Well. We aren't from this village anyways. Let's go with up with him."

"Hahh! Hahh! Hahh! Brats! Where are you from? You don't seem to be from our village. You have such unusual clothes too! Hmm. Hahn!!! Are you from Spirit Hall!? Young Master, Mistress, this old man apologizes for his rude behavior!!" the old man falls down on his knees.

"Oh no no no!! What are you doing Grandpa. You are our elder. You can't fall down on your knees in front of us. Also we are not from Spirit Hall. We were just travelling and came across this village. As the Sun was going down we thought of looking for somewhere to stay. Well we want to stay for a long amount of time. We also heard that we can awaken Martial Souls after a few months here."

"Oh you aren't from Spirit Hall? Oh your clothes look so sophisticated though."

"We bought them on our journey grandpa" Xiao San said.

"Oh I see. Well you brats can stay at my house then. After my son and daughter-in-law died in Star Dou Forest while hunting for Spirit Rings, I have always lived alone with my wife in that big house. If you don't mind, you can stay at our abode. Well, the food may not be upto your taste but we will give our best!"

The old man had tears in his eyes. He saw his kids in Xiao San and Ye. He always felt it was his fault because that he couldn't stop his kids from going to get a spirit ring to become a spirit master. He also didn't have sufficient money for them to hire a helper. He has always felt guilty because of this.

"Grandpa. We are very sorry to hear this. Well… How should I say this… Umm… If you don't mind can we ask you to become our sworn Grandparents. You see, we are orphans and never felt family love. Umm…"

"Are you really fine with this! I am so old and decrepit and may die soon. I…"

"Grandpa, don't cry. We want you to become our Grandparents. My brother and I agree on this."

Under the curious gazes of the villagers, the grandpa and siblings duo walked towards a somewhat tattered hut on the far centre of the village. During the walk, they talked about many things. The siblings duo also came to know about the situation of the Douluo continent as well. But above all, they found someone they can call family again. For the siblings, after their parents died, all their family members and distant relatives started cutting off their relations from them. Even their own grandparents didn't want their custody. This is why they had to be shifted to an orphanage. They had way little money and property on their name and two necklaces with their name initials that their parents left them as their souvenirs. In this new world they thought they would forever be unable to get family love again but it seems they finally got grandparents.

"Here, this is my home. Shameful as it may be, even though I am the village chief, even I don't have much money to repair it. We don't have a system that collects revenues from people living in the village after all. But the inner rooms are okay and water mostly doesn't leak… Yeah mostly… Ahahaha…haha…ha…ha." Grandpa Jack awkwardly muttered.

"Ahahahahahahaha…. Oh my God. Grandpa you are so funny. Don't worry we had to live on roads and in forests. We don't mind all this."

"Oh such nice kids. Wait let me call my wife. Shana!! Shana Dear!!! SHANAAAAA!!"

"Ohh old man. Your habit of shouting your lungs out hasn't gone yet huh! You didn't even take your medicine before going out. You know how important it is. You can't miss a dosage of it. "Ahahahaha… Why are you worried. Ain't I completely fine? I got a report from the guards that 2 unknown brats entered our village so I just went to check up. See these kids. Brats say hello to your granny!!"

"…" The siblings are astounded. The old man's wife seemed quite beautiful. They joked, "Old man are you sure she's your wife?"

"How rude!!! She's your granny! My wife!!!"

"Hahahahaha… Brats hello. I am this old man's wife. You can just call me Granny."

"Hello Granny, we came to stay here for few months. He said we could stay here. We have nowhere to go for now…" Xiao San muttered.

"Yup no problem. If there is no space let's throw this old man out."

"Heyy!!! I am your husband!" mewled Grandpa Jack.

"Well, come have snacks also introduce yourselves to me please. This old man doesn't mention the important points at all."

"Hahaha Granny you are so funny. My name is Ye Xuena. This is my sworn brother Xiao San. We are orphans and came to this village after travelling. So we thought about living here for some months and then continue on our journey. Don't worry we will come occasionally to meet you Grandpa, Granny." Ye exclaimed.

"Oh such poor kids. Why is God so cruel to make you orphan. Don't worry about anything. Stay here as long as you like. Well now I don' really have much other than some Rice and soup. I will go and buy something tomorrow. For now, I am sorry."

"Don't worry Granny. We don't mind." But can we go to sleep today after eating? Actually, we are really tired after this journey." Xiao San said.

"Ohh. Its okay. Just take the inner room beside the kitchen. That is mostly empty and has a big bed. You can sleep there. That used to be my son and daughter-in-law's room. But its empty now. So it is fine."

"Ohkay Granny" the siblings answered.

After snacks, the sibling duo went to bed. They had a lot on their minds and had to decide their next course of action to complete the quest as well in the given time.

"Onii, you go to practice cultivation and observe Tang San tomorrow. I will try and become friends with the people here and try to gather more information about the continent from the Merchants and Traders that come from far away."

"Okay Sister Ye. I also seem to have a Novice Gift Pack from the System as a Starter gift. Perhaps it will come to use tomorrow. For now, I am spent. Good night Sister Ye." Xiao San muttered.

I have received suggestions that the first chapter seemed way fast-paced and seemed like I villified the MC too much without some justifiable reason. Also some dialogues seemed a bit cringe. So I decided to first of all describe

the Scenario and scenes and surroundings to put more flesh in my work and make it a bit less direct. But I have also made sure that content is not decreased as I do so. I have tried decreasing the cringe part in this chapter and as for villifying Tang San I have decided not to make much changes in the first chapter and slowly delve into why he and his friends are the real bad guys.
