Chapter-29: Annual Day.

Everything was going well.

All seven friends run their restaurant and All children shift to a new house.

All were very happy. Vick had completed his four years and fifth year was about to end.

Every year the Police celebrates their Annual day. On this day, officers are awarded for their work. Department had told everyone to come with their families.

A huge ground was booked and it was decorated with lights, a huge stage was made, there were special chairs for high officers. Officers who are going to be awarded were called there with their families.

Vick also had to come there. So, he decided to call all his mother's and friends, he also decided to call Swan and her friends. He told everything to everyone.

All three mothers came with five children but his friends can't come because there should be someone who will look after the house. Vick asks Swan and her friends they can't come because they have to look after the restaurant but they can send Swan with him.

Before one day of Annual Day, all three mothers with children came to the restaurant at noon time. Vick was also there, he was surprised to see them all there.

Lulu was very happy to see them and she took all of them to the upper floor. Restaurant had a separate staircase so that… customers should not get any disturbed by them.

After a small talk, it was decided that Swan, three mothers and five children will go with Vick at Annual Day. Lulu was not going.

Next night,

Swan gets ready for the day and rest is also dressed up. She was looking very beautiful in a blue dress and she was still in her old hairstyle. He was looking at her with a smile on his face.

When they were leaving, that time Swan hand hit on the door.

"Ouch."

 "Never mind. Let's go."

Again, she collided with a chair. But she moved out of the house.

He asked for a big car from Dude for that night only. Everybody sat inside that car and he took that car to the place where that all had to come. A huge area was covered with chairs for sitting and they also arranged food for all guests.

Many tables with chairs were placed in different places around the stage. There was a table for Vick, it was reserved for him only and it was big with many chairs.

They all sat in their places and the constable sir also came there.

"Good evening sir."

Vick, "good evening Constable sir.

Vick was looking around him and surprised.

"Constable sir… where is your family?" He was sad.

"Sir… in an accident…I lost my whole family."

After knowing this, everyone on the table looks sad.

Vick, "sit with us. Please."

Chief was also there and he was staring at him. Madam Pronica was also there, she was talking to Grandmother about her health. That time, the Chief was talking to someone on his phone.

Chief, "OK. But be careful, don't hurt me."

Show starts. One by one performers start their performance on the stage and everyone enjoys the show.

After some performances now, the time for awards. Chief was on the stage giving awards to the officers.

Announcer was a female in a red dress.

Announcer, "Now, the next award is… Public Safety Medal of Valor… goes to !!"

Everyone's heart was beating very fast but Vick was calm but Swan was crossing her fingers and muttering only one word. "Please… Please."

Announcer, "VICK… " Everyone shouted and stood from their seats. They all start clapping for him.

He stood from his seat and went to the stage and took that medal.

Announcer, "one more thing Vick that department had taken a decision to make you as a new head of Major Police Station." Again, there was a huge noise and clapping for him. Vick, "thank you."

When he was leaving the stage, he was stopped by the announcer. "Sir… please say some words."

He took the mic in his hand and started looking at everyone. They all were sitting on the chairs like lazy boys. When he stared at them, they all sat straight on the chair in an attentive manner. "Don't be a lazy officer… be an attentive one. Police is a type of job in which we never get holidays. 24×7… we all used to stay on duty."

"But then also… we all love this work because… we are Police and it is not just a job it is a responsibility." …

"Thank you."

After this he was leaving the stage but again she stopped him. "Now what?"

Announcer calls Swan on her stage. He was surprised. She was looking nervous and slowly walking towards strange. Everyone is looking at her and wants to know about her.

She came close to Vick and looked at the announcer.

"There is no need of fear… because, no one dares it."

"I call you on the stage for a task."

She was surprised.

Vick, "make sure… you give her an easy task." Everyone laughed.

He stands on the side. A huge picture flashes on the screen. He was surprised to see that because it was his picture but those pictures in different poses. Announcer, "look madam, you have to copy all images of Vick which you can see over here."

Swan, " I'll try."

She looked at his first picture. In that picture Vick was sliding his right-hand thumb on his lips. She also did that.

In the second picture, he was looking very angry. She copied that also.

In the third picture, he raised his right eye brow upward. She also did that.

In the fourth picture, he was making confused facial expressions. She also did that.

Now the last picture was left but it was not a picture.

It is a video, in that video… he uses his dialogue…

'MY FOOT.'

 She tried to do that and she succeeded.

Then they both went back to their seats with a huge clapping sound. That time Eleena was also there. She was sitting at another table.

Now, dinner starts and everyone is eating food. Suddenly, Dude called on his phone. He was talking to him but his voice was not clear. He stood up and moved to another side to talk. "Yes Dude. Now you can talk."

Dude, "Vick… Nobody told me that there will be an attack on the party. RUN."

He is shocked and turns back.

At that moment a huge blast occurred on the stage.

"BOOM !!!"

Vick shouted.

"Everyone… down." Suddenly… Many people wearing black dresses entered inside from different directions and started firing on all of them. There were four black dress men shooting from his table side. He quickly took out his gun and shoot them down

Blast was happening around the place. He quickly took Swan and all three mothers with children to a safe place.

Gun sounds were everywhere and they were getting weak.

Vick, "Moris!! Call help." Eleena was also there; she stood with mothers and protected them from those people.

Vick was on the forward side and clearing the area. He was having a metal tray on his hand for armor.

Meanwhile, he had a call.

His attention distracts and they shoot on him but somehow, he saves himself.

"Hello."

The call was from Dude. "I had sent a car for help. Get inside that car and save yourself with your friends."

Phone cut. He again got attention on them and still firing was going on. He moved to Eleena. "Listen… Dude had sent a car for us. Take mother with you and get the hell out of her."

After some time, a car came outside and made a loud noise. He keeps shooting so that they can run from there. They quickly ran away from that place. He took out keys from his pocket and asked Swan to leave with five children.

She also ran from there in the same car in which she came. Shouting sound of people coming from there when they were shot down by bullets.

Vick was very angry. He keeps on shooting at them and moving forward. He forgets that someone is also behind him and he can kill him. Constable sir was also there hiding behind a table.

He saw a man was about to shoot him from behind. He quickly ran towards him and stood in front of that gun. He turned back and shot down that man.

"Constable sir… sir."

After this, members who are left behind. They all ran away. Constable sir was taking his last breath. "Sir… why?"

He smiled at him and said in a sweet voice. "Because… you have to live for many people."

He was taking his last breath. He was in his hands. "Sir... please… tell me that line which you use to tell me every day."

Vick had tears on his eyes.

In a shivering voice. "Constable sir… tuck your shirt in."

After this he died but his shirt was still out from his waist. Vick put his shirt inside his pant.

He cleaned his tears and sat on the side. Meanwhile, he had a call. It was an unknown number.

"Hello."

Reply, "what are you doing over there? You left her alone. Same road."

He quickly cut the phone and took a police car. He informed Dude about that. There was a fear in his face while driving towards the road from where they came.

He was muttering.

"No… "

His breathing was very fast and heartbeat was also fast.

He was driving very fast on the road.
