Maven did not remember much because he was quite young when it happened. To Claire, it sounded believable that he did not know the details of his parents' fight but he had the gist of it, ''Then 3 days later, he called me to meet him…''

His pause made her straighten up on his lap.

''But by the time I convinced my mom to let me meet him and went there with her, we saw him hanging by the ceiling fan through the… small window of the house we used to live in.''

Claire sucked in a breath when she heard that.
