I DON'T WANT TO READ THAT!

Hazel literally inhaled her meal, but she ended up eating too much and needed to walk so she could digest her food.

However, after pacing back and forth inside the room, she felt curious and decided to go out of this room, since Micah was not around. He told her that he had a few things that he needed to take care of.

Hazel had no idea what kind of things needed his attention, but then again, it was none of her business. She was already thankful that this man was willing to let her stay in this castle-like house.

She was just curious about how this place looked.

At that thought, Hazel decided to walk out of the bedroom, moreover, Micah didn't say anything about her not being allowed to go out, right?

Carefully, Hazel opened the door and sure enough it was not locked, so it could be said that the man didn't have any intention to confine her inside the room.

"Ready to take a walk?" Gillian said, as he saw Hazel poking her head from inside the room. The girl jumped in shock to see him there and this made him furrow his brows. "What are you surprised about?"

"What are you doing here? My heart almost dropped to the ground," Hazel complained, she clutched her chest, where her heart was beating so badly. She didn't expect for Gillian to be waiting for her right outside of her bedroom.

"The alpha told me that you will go out of the room to take a walk after your breakfast." Gillian thought Hazel had been informed that he was waiting outside to give her a tour of this place.

"Really?" Hazel came up with this decision just a moment ago, but Micah had actually thought about this in much advance.

"Yes." Gillian hesitated a little bit as he looked at her, scratching the back of his head. "Don't worry, I will not read your mind, the alpha told us strictly to not even try it."

And if anyone dared enough to disobey a direct order like that, they would be doomed.

"Are you sure no one will read my mind? Is everyone here a shifter??" Hazel asked carefully.

"Yes and yes." Gillian walked ahead. "Let's go, I will give you a tour of this place."

There was no way to prove his words, thus it seemed she could only take his word for it.

Hazel then walked beside him, as they met a few people there, seemingly, they were on duty to watch this whole place.

Not long after, Hazel gasped at the beauty of this place. Gillian took her to a massive sitting lounge on the first floor, with chandeliers and windows that reached the ceiling.

For nearly three hours, Gillian had shown Hazel this exquisite place like castle, the halls, the grand rooms. From the most important room, which must be Micah's study room, into which they weren't allowed, since he had an important meeting, to the simplest room.

To say the least, this place was truly built to be one for a royal family, even the wealth of the Ashdown family looked pale in comparison.

Hazel didn't remember there was a place like this in this city, even the house of Ashdown family did not seem as extravagant as this in Hazel's eyes when she caught a glimpse of it on the news once.

Who exactly was he? Micah Donovan? She had never heard such a surname before this. If the Donovan family was that well off, how could there be no news about them? Or at the very least, her family had never talked about them, while they kept praising the Ashdown family to the stars.

The most wealthy family in this country.

"Why don't we sit down and talk for a while?" Hazel asked. She felt her feet hurt after such a long walk, but even so there were still a lot of areas that she had not yet seen.

Well, it was not like she would live here, which required her to remember all the places, so it was not really necessary for her to memorize this place.

"Are you tired?" Gillian asked. He didn't even break a sweat. This was nothing for him.

On the other hand, Hazel, who wanted to take a walk to digest her breakfast, felt like she was hungry again after this long walk.

"Very," Hazel admitted.

"Well, we can go to the library and I will ask someone to bring tea and snacks for us."

Hazel nodded and hoped that the library was not so far. Ugh. She really needed to exercise more at this rate.

Fortunately, it only took them two minutes to reach the library and this room didn't fail to amaze Hazel either. Her jaw dropped when she saw rows after rows of shelves as high as the ceiling with rolling stairs that would help you to reach books in the high place.

There was only one side of this room that was decorated by a lot of paintings of people, which looked like a family tree, near a fireplace.

There were multiple chairs, circling different tables, blue walls, a polished white marble floor and a lot more that made this place look exquisite and gave a vibe of medieval times.

Gillian led her to one of the sofas and let her sit there, while someone had already come to bring their tea and snacks.

"So, what do you want to ask?" Gillian sat down opposite of her and looked at his Luna, who was stunned by this library area.

For someone like Gillian, who had been here countless times, the beauty of this place had worn out. There was nothing special in his eyes.

"I want to ask about this…" Hazel waved her hand at her surroundings. "Tell me what it is. What are you?"

"Shifter."

Hazel felt frustrated. "But, what is it?"

Without saying anything, Gillian stood up and walked to one of the selves, as he returned with a huge book in his arms.

"No. Don't tell me to read that!"
