It hurt like hell when Alpha Micah realized that he had to let go of the love of his life, because he was waiting for the impossible to happen. 

Hazel has died and even though his mind told him to let go, his heart told him to hold on.

"So, what do you think happened during that time?" The Count changed his tactics and involved Hazel in the conversation, not because he suddenly thought highly of her, but because he wanted to find a way to mock her subtly.

On the other hand, Hazel saw through him immediately. After all, she lived with Gaia for so long to know such a tactic. Thanks to her evil stepsister, she was not that naïve.

"Can you provide me with detailed information?" Hazel didn't want to play into his hands when it came to this, if he thought he could come up with such a nonsensical statement to prove that she understood the situation, he thought so low of her.

Hazel knew very well that they couldn't approach this matter recklessly.
