We Should Go

It took Nancy a few seconds to recover from her shock. And then she started clapping, "I see, well said. Let's see who would be having the last laugh." She eyed Ava from head to toe like she was some piece of trash before she stormed out of the office.

Ava sat back down in her chair with her head in her hands, Nancy was slowly becoming a thorn in her flesh. She knows Mason can't sack her because she is a great asset to the company, so that means she would continue to see and encounter her every time she comes to see Mason at the office and she didn't think she had it her to continue this way.

"What is the problem?" She heard Mason ask. She peeled her hands off her face and found him standing beside her. How come she didn't hear him come in?

She stood up and wrapped her arms around him in a hug.

"Hey, is everything okay?" Mason asked her.

"Yeah," Ava replied as she pulled away from the hug.
