Don't You Feel It?

"Are you sure you don't want to come to spend the night at my place?" Dan asked Layla as he dropped her off at her house.

"No, I'm really exhausted, I just want to head straight to bed," Layla said with a weak smile.

"I have a bed at my place, a large one at that," Dan gave her a coy smile.

She knew what he was hinting about, but she wasn't up for it.

"I'm sorry Dan, not tonight."

"If you say so," he said, still smiling.

Layla leaned closer and kissed Dan on his lips.

"I had fun."

Dan cupped her cheek, his smile now wider. "Me too, I enjoyed the ceremony more because I was with you."

Layla smiled. "I'm glad you did." She kissed him again.

"Goodnight Dan."

"Goodnight Layla."

Layla came down from the car and stood outside her gate and waited until Dan had driven away before she went inside.

"Welcome back," Sarah said to Layla as she walked inside the house.
