(Note: I'm going home tomorrow and might be able to write a bonus chapter for you guys <3)
In Tanaka's memories when he was younger, he wrote fanfics on the internet for fun because there were a lot of ideas he had in mind, and wanted to see what others will think about his imagination, well, they are mostly self-inserted and following the plot of the story he chose but despite that.
Many still read his story despite the wrong spellings and bad grammar the book had and they even praised the book though, they still didn't like the bad grammar and spelling but the young Tanaka didn't care as the Tanaka from the past still haven't arrived and the young Tanaka is only slightly mature but not intelligent.
Anyway, the book continued until Tanaka didn't feel the fun of writing anymore and no inspiration came to him making him unable to write even a single letter just looking at his blank work made him lose the energy to write, and it not like he was earning money from writing so Tanaka didn't really know what to do.
So in the end, he dropped it in the suspense of it going on hiatus, many were sad because of this but they only thought he would be gone for a month but oh boy, even after 4 years it didn't return, and the book was also slowly forgotten and buried into history.
So about Tanaka's decision to make a novel, he actually had a plan for that, writing a book actually has many benefits for his career and reputation, for example, if he wrote a book about mortal kombat, or even Medal of Honor, won't the game has its fanbase once it was released?
Tanaka won't have to spend so much money on advertising anymore, yes, it's all about mindset, also he was not only limited in making games from his past life, just imagine turning Pokemon to a VR game or even the better which is Naruto Shippuden.
You can imagine yourself catching pokemon in the VR world or even becoming a ninja that only happens in fanfictions, there are too many possibilities here! Endless actually! As long as he has the time and creative mind, Tanaka can turn those stories into games that others can be part of.
Though, he has to create those things from scratch, other than labor and some innovation, what else is there to stop him? Tanaka couldn't help but imagine recreating those fantasies he had when he was watching or reading those stories that he loved.
'But before I could do all of those, I must improve myself, and also train the others so that one day, we will be actually able to do it'
Tanaka couldn't help but clench his fist in excitement, but he got out of his stupor as he felt someone tap behind him.
Turning his head Tanaka saw Masuzu wearing a sun dress and a white straw hat, she had a beautiful smile on her face that would captivate everyone who sees it…but Tanaka didn't feel anything, not to brag but his siblings and parents didn't fall behind Masuzu's beauty.
Tanaka: "Oh, you are here, the others are still on their way and that looks good on you by the way"
Tanaka praised her as it was a job of a gentleman.
Masuzu: "Why thank you, good sir"
Masuzu gave her curtsy as she received Tanaka's praise.
Tanaka: "It was my please madam"
Tanaka also followed her shenanigans and bowed.
*Chuckles~
Both chuckled as they looked at each other.
Yes, and no, they aren't on a date but today was the day the undertale club members will go to a theme park and they all decided to meet in front of the school Tanaka was the first to arrive and the second was Masuzu.
The two chatted with each other about random things as they don't really have any topics, Masuzu knows little about game development and Tanaka knows nothing about fashion and they both knew this so they just talked about stuff that they both know.
It didn't take long for the others to arrive and the only one missing now is Shinomiya, but they didn't have to wait long as a bus stopped in front of them and came inside from the bus.
"Come in"
Shinomiya said with a smile.
Everyone was surprised by the bus but they immediately cheered loudly before entering the bus.
"As the president of the Undertale Club, I declare there will be a sitting arrangement"
"Ehhhh"
Everyone wanted to complain but their complaints flew to the east to find someone who will care, anyway, Tanaka continued
"Now for the front seat, Ishigami and Hachiman, next is Chika and Masuzu, Shirogane and Shinomiya, Naoto and Nagatoro, Subaru and Mizuki, for the music club members, you guys can sit there, and since I don't have a partner I will solo the space at the back"
Tanaka smiled triumphantly, the others grumbled while the others didn't say anything as they were blushing at their seatmates and, yes, the music club members were also invited as they were also part of the making of Clash of Clans.
"Onward!"
The bus then started its journey, actually, Tanaka didn't know where they were going as all of this was organized by Shinomiya and he couldn't really ask her right now as she was occupied with Shirogane who was looking outside the window with fascination.
Well, whatever, the bus driver seemed to know where he was going so Tanaka just took out his laptop and sat at the back, since he had time, Tanaka decided to think about the books he could write.
"Should I go for anime? I could but if possible, I want to directly make them a manga and not a novel as that would give them more popular than being a novel"
Tanaka wanted to make manga in the future to help to boost his fame, even though the technology here is more advanced than the one from his past, entertainment such as manga, anime, music, novels, etc, are still very popular and sought after by many cultured people.
"Maybe I could go for the movies? Or maybe popular novels?"
Tanaka had a lot of choices to make, and if possible, he wanted to write a simple book that won't take a lot of his time.
"Hmm, I guess a light novel it is"
After thinking for a while, Tanaka decided to go with a light novel as those weren't really taxing to write and they were also quite popular in japan.
"Now, what genre should I go for? Shounen or Seinen"
If possible, Tanaka didn't really want to write a dark novel, because it won't be called a light novel anymore, get it? No? Okay, anyway, Tanaka isn't actually good with dark gore stuff as he was light-hearted and couldn't stomach those things.
Heck, he didn't even watch Re: Zero from his past life as just in episode 1, he had already dropped it, and never touched it again, no, he wasn't degrading the anime, it's just not something he preferred.
Though he was still good with games like horror or Dark Souls, he just can't touch the anime with gore stuff, anyway, there were a lot of popular light novels from Tanaka's past life.
List:
King's Avatar
Demon Slayer
Is it Wrong To Pick Up Girls in Dungeon?
The saga of Tanya the Evil
Konosuba
Yes, these were the books he had chosen after a lot of deliberation, and they all have something in common, they can be turned into games, actually, there are a lot of other ones that he could recreate such as Overlord, Knights, and Magic, etc, there are a lot but in Tanaka's eyes, they are much better animated or made as a manga to get more audiences.
One example is Solo Leveling, it was unknown until its manhwa appeared and took over the community with its mind-blowing arts and character design, though, it can't be compared to one punch man or Her Summon when it comes to art details, it still became one of the best.
Speaking of Arts, Tanaka wanted to reach the level of those arts one day, but anyway, Tanaka was actually contemplating going for the Demon Slayer, though it had a bad start in his past life, it became very popular at mid stages that it took the whole community in a storm far bigger than Solo Leveling.
It became so hot that it took first place as the best selling and almost sold a million copies, and its chances of being turned into a game are very much high as its playability is also peak, but there is also Konosuba, despite its silly characters and amazing comedy, its world-building is actually good and it also had a lot of playability, from its monsters to its systems, it was actually quite complete, even the skill trees are much better than some RPG games.
As for the other 3, Tanaka is actually quite not sure, they are also good but when it comes to playability, they don't stand a chance against the former 2 choices he had.
So after thinking for a while, and a lot of deliberation, Tanaka finally decided to go with Demon Slayer, because its popularity is even much bigger than Konosuba from his past life, and he also felt this book has more potential.
So after picking demon slayer, Tanaka opened a document and started writing, thankfully, he had read the full series of Demon Slayer in his past life as he also felt that this work could be turned into a big game unfortunately, he came from a small company at that time and just getting the IP of demon slayer costs a lot.
"I can also make a card game out of this"
Tanaka remembered Hearthstone and I am MT from his past life. That game earns millions every month a year after its release. Yes, card games are gacha games, but let's ignore the reality for now.
Anyway, Demon Slayer started with the story of the main character Tanjiro Kamado, a kind-hearted and intelligent boy who lives with his family in the mountains. He became his family's breadwinner after his father's death, making trips to the nearby village to sell charcoal. Everything changed when he came home one day to discover that his family was attacked and slaughtered by a demon. Tanjiro and his sister Nezuko were the sole survivors of the incident, with Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but still surprisingly showing signs of human emotion and thought. After an encounter with Giyū Tomioka, a demon slayer, and the Water Hashira, Tanjiro is recruited by Giyū and sent to his retired master Sakonji Urokodaki for training to also become a demon slayer, beginning his quest to help his sister turn into a human again and avenge the death of his family.
Do you want to know more? Read it! Anyway, Tanaka was able to write the story where he finally started training before he stopped as he noticed they have finally arrived.
Tanaka felt a little tired from the trip, he was just sitting there and somehow he became tired but anyway, the group got out of the bus and looked at the huge theme park in front of them.
It was the Deysni, a very famous theme park, Tanaka could see a lot of people around, a bunch of families and friends going together and taking a lot of pictures, Tanaka sighed in relief as he was worried that Shinomiya might have gone overboard again and rented the whole theme park but it seems like his worries were for nothing, the group became excited and immediately made their way inside the theme park.
But what Tanaka didn't know is that all of the people he sees were hired people who were here to protect them, due to the high authority of the Shinomiya Family, they really can't let their heir go alone in populated places like this theme park so to make it seem real, they hired a bunch of actors to play like normal families, even Shinomiya didn't know this and was just happy that she was finally allowed to go with her friends to a theme park.
