Chapter 39: Ironic

[ —Callum]

Even though it had been some time since the sun had climbed into the sky, Callum had not yet moved from his position in order to avoid disturbing the sleeping beauty that he was holding in his arms. He was totally mesmerized by her serene countenance, the way her face remained unruffled in spite of the fact that she was separated by a great distance from her opulent life. She still had the blanket wrapped around her body, her hair looking like a halo around her head as the sunlight beams shines through it, giving the illusion that it was glowing. Then it cascades on her back, spreading like a curtain. Even her pale skin radiated like the moon.

Almost blinding him.
