Ch.5 bully
I wake up and i get a text from jack "hey James you down to get lunch today I know a great burger place we can go to"
"Yea sounds good" I text
"Alright I'll pick you up around noon see you soon" jack texts
I set my phone down and I hear footsteps coming towards my room "that's mom I better change quickly" I think to myself shifting to my human form
My mom walks in my room "morning James you got any plans today?" Molly says
"Yea I'm going to get lunch with Jack later" I say
"Great anyways my boss called me I have to go to work I'm not sure how long I'll be gone but don't destroy the house while I'm gone alright" molly says
"Yea I know I won't promise" I say
"Alright see you later" molly says leaving my room
I get off my bed and i put some clothes on and I leave the house "well I got nothing to do at home might as well walk around for a while" I think to myself
As I'm walking around I run into jack "James hey I didn't know you'd be out this early" jack says
"Yea I didn't have anything to do at home so I thought i would walk around for a while" I say
"Well I guess we can hang for a while" jack says
"That's fine my mom is going to be gone all day anyway" I say
"Dude where does your mom work?" Jack says
"She never told me she just goes somewhere for a day and comes back like nothing ever happened" I say
"That's suspicious" jack says
"I don't really care because i get a lot of free time at home" I say
"Alright since you're here we can get lunch early if you want" jack says
"Sure let's go" I say
"I'm a regular there so they know me" jack says
"Alright cool" I say
Me and Jack start walking to the burger place and we arrive a few minutes later "joes burgers my favorite place for burger since I was a child" jack says
"That's cool" I say
"But it's been a while I'm not sure if they'll remember me" jack says
"I'm sure they'll remember you" I say
We walk inside "this place brings back so many memories" jack says
"Jack is that you?"
"Joe my man it's been what how many years?" Jack says
"3 years how have you been Jack it's been too long" joe says
"I know it has I've been busy with school and friends" jack says
"Yea who's this then?" Joe says
"I'm James I'm jacks best friend we're pretty tight" I say
"It's good to see a new face around here" joe says
"Really jack tells me that this is a really good place for burgers" I say
"Yea he's right best burgers in town" joe says
"I'll let my mouth be the judge of that" I say
"Yea sure I'll get you two a table" joe says
We hear the door open behind us "hey joe give me a table now" Mitch says
"Mitch what are you doing here I thought I banned you for 4 years" joe says
"Yea that time is up now give me a table don't make me ask twice" Mitch says
"Hey leave him alone Mitch" I say
"Oh James I thought you had enough of me 5 years ago" Mitch says
"As If now get out of here before I have to get physical" I say
"You don't scare me you're a wimp" Mitch says
"Im not a wimp and yo-" mid sentence Mitch punches me in the gut and i fall to the floor
"Dude not cool" joe says
"James are you alright?" Jack says
"Yea I'll be fine" I say
"That'll teach you" Mitch says
"Mitch get out of here you're banned for life" joe says
"Would you unban me for an invite to a party I'm having tonight?" Mitch says
"Fine I'll be there" joe says
"Later losers" Mitch says walking out
"That bastard I want revenge" I say getting up
"And why did you just let him off the hook like that?" Jack says
"What I always wanted to go to a party by Mitch at least once in my life" joe says
"Seriously alright at Least he's gone now" I say
"I want to get back at him so badly" jack says
"I can't think of anything on an empty stomach so get us a table joe" I say
"Yea sure follow me" joe says taking us to an empty table
Me and Jack sit down "I think I have a plan to get back at Mitch" jack says
"Lay it on me" I say
"Well wouldn't it just be terrible if a dragon attacked that party if you know what I mean" jack says
"Yea I get it and I like the idea Mitch won't know what hit him" I say
"Yea we hit his party tonight and I'll record it if that's cool with you" jack says
"Yea it's fine just don't post it anywhere" i say
"You got it" jack says
Joe brings us two cups of water "here's some water sorry no soda it's broken" joe says
"Why what happened?" Jack says
"Its just not working alright" joe says
"Well call someone to fix it then" jack says
"I can't the last person I called made the soda machine even worse unless you know someone who can fix it I can't do anything" joe says
"Alright then joe my usual you know it" jack says
"Yea I do what about you James?" Joe says
"Just get me a regular burger nothing too fancy" I say
"You got it I'll be back with your food soon" joe says walking away from our table
"How are we going to find out where Mitch lives I've never been to his house" I say
"I know because me and him were friends for a short time" jack says
"You were?" I say
"Yea back before I saw his true colors I liked hanging with him but I as soon as I found out he was a bully I cut all contact with him" jack says
"I'm sorry to hear that" I say
"It's whatever I have a friend that I can trust more than Mitch and that's you" jack says
"Thanks dude" I say
Joe walks to our table and gives us our food "alright here's your food enjoy" joe says as he walks away
"Time to eat I am so hungry" I say
"Same here" jack says
I take a bite of my burger "holy Crap this is delicious" I say with my mouth full
"I told you best burgers in town" jack says taking a bite of his burger
We finish our food a few minutes later "wow that was delicious you weren't lying about this place it really is the best" I say
Joe walks by our table and gives us our check "here's your check" joe says
Jack pays the bill "here you go" jack says
"Thank you have a nice day" joe says walking away from our table
Me and Jack leave the diner "let's head over to mitch's house so we can set up before the party" jack says
"Alright let's go" i say
Me and Jack start walking over to mitch's house
