Chapter Twenty — The Huxley Brothers

Third person pov

Ryan walked into Brian's office expecting a certain reaction from him and as soon as Brian's eyes spotted his elder brother walk into the room, his expression darkened, exactly how Ryan expected it.

He knew he couldn't expect his brother to be pleased to see him, since they weren't exactly the best of friends. Sometimes, he just wished that his brother could have a better expression apart from the usual grim and unpleasant expression he always got.

"You know, Brian, you don't have to make it obvious that you're not pleased to see me," Ryan commented, and Brian scoffed.

"I think you and I are way past the stage of pretending to like each other, and I don't see any reason I shouldn't make my displeasure obvious. I don't even need to know what you're doing here because the last thing I want to do is to have any sort of conversation with you," Brian responded, completely uninterested in saying anything to his brother.
