Chapter Forty Three — Not Jealous, Just Cautious.

"What are you doing here?" Brian questioned through gritted teeth and I almost laughed at how hilarious his angry facial expression looked.

How cute.

"Shouldn't I be the one asking you what you're doing here?" I replied, purposely speaking in a way that sounded like I was mocking him, just to rile him up.

"I strongly believe that you're aware that you have no right to question me on anything that I do, so how about you tell me why you're here or get the hell out?" he demanded and I sighed.

"Hello, Marlene," I greeted, directing my gaze to Marlene, who also had an irritated expression on her face.

I found it very fascinating that a person could be so shameless because, in my innocent mind, I used to think that people had a little bit of shame when it came to some of their actions but seeing Marlene right now, just proved that I was immature and silly to think that.
