Felix's eyes widened when Holly suddenly hugged him. "Don't go," she said.
Was she hallucinating again? Yes, she must be hallucinated. How could Holly suddenly hug him like this?
Felix was a little disappointed. Deep down in his heart, he hoped Holly want him to stay here. Not as a shadow of the person called Arthur.
Felix gently let go of Holly's hand. "You have to eat. I'll be waiting for you outside."
But Holly grabbed his waist again. "I told you, don't go!" Her hoarse voice sounded firm.
Holly looked up. With her round and teary eyes, she begged Felix not to go. Her red lips curved downwards, forming a thin, sad-looking line.
Felix's body suddenly stiffened. He couldn't move a finger. It wasn't magic or a spell, but Holly's command made him weak. How could he refuse a woman with a face like that?
Well, actually, he can, but not for Holly.
[She's beautiful like this.] Felix gulped at sight. Holly's red cheeks, due to heat, made Felix's body heat up too.
[No! What am I thinking? Wake up, Felix!] Felix shook his head. He almost slapped himself to get back to his senses.
"I'm not Arthur." Felix made his voice louder this time, so Holly realized that he wasn't Arthur.
"I know. You aren't blonde." Holly pulled Felix's waist until he lost his balance. His muscular body fell onto Holly on the bed.
[How can she be this strong!] Or maybe it was just Felix who became weaker for her.
Holly chuckled. "Your Majesty, you are so heavy."
Their faces were very close. Felix used his arms to support his body. If he lose his balance again, their face would absolutely meet, lip to lip.
Felix could feel Holly's warm breath hitting his face. A caramel aroma greeted his nose. This wasn't good for him.
Hurriedly, Felix moved away from Holly and tried to stand up before being swept away in the atmosphere. Unfortunately, Holly wouldn't let him go. She grabbed Felix's hand before he managed to stand up. Her action made Felix fall beside her, lucky he didn't hit her again.
Holly held Felix's hand until he couldn't stand up. They faced each other. Holly smiled widely while Felix was nervous insanely.
"Why are you being like this, My Queen?" Felix sniffed at her. There was no smell of alcohol, but she acted like a drunk. Did fever make her like this?
"Why are you so cruel, My King? It's a shame that your handsome face has to be hidden with your behaviour," Holly said with her sad eyes.
Felix blushed hardly. Holly was the first person to say he was cute, and then she said he was handsome. Everyone told him that he was scary.
"Your face is red. You are so cute." Holly chuckled.
[What the hell is this woman? Pleading and then laughing? Is she crazy?]
"I'm not cute. I'm scary," Felix said emphatically.
Once again, Holly chuckled. "You scary beast, but you look like a puppy for me." Holly pulled Felix's cheeks wider.
Felix glared in surprise. "How dare you to the King!" But the more Felix looked angry, Holly's laughter got even louder. Felix finally gave in. There was no point in getting mad at her. He just wasted his energy.
"You should smile more often. Don't hide your handsome face."
"It's up to me whether I want to smile or frown."
Holly pulled Felix's cheeks up, causing his lips to curl into a smile. "No! You have to smile."
[Tsk! This woman, really!] Felix removed Holly's hand from his face. He should be so angry that he could tear apart the castle with Holly's behaviour toward him. But what was this warm feeling inside his chest? He didn't feel even a drop of anger.
"Okay. I will smile more often." Felix gave up before Holly drove him even crazy.
"And promise me, you won't eat me." Holly looked at him with pleading eyes. Felix had to look away to keep sane.
"Stop talking about eating humans. That's disgusting! I don't eat humans."
"You said I smelled like a sheep, and you ate sheep meat this morning." Holly puffed out her cheeks, another test for Felix.
"I lied. You didn't smell like a sheep."
"So, how do I smell?"
Felix still turned his face away. Staring at Holly too close like this would be a horrible idea.
"Caramel," Felix said very quietly.
"Do you like caramel?"
Felix was silent. Does he like it? Sweet wasn't his thing, but was he like caramel?
"I like it," he replied with a red face.
Holly made a face of dramatic surprise. "You want to eat me!"
"No! Not like that!"
Holly burst out laughing at Felix's reaction. No matter how hard he tried to look cold, Felix was adorable for her tonight.
Holly started to close her eyes again when the sleepiness hit. Felix stroked her hair slowly, became a lullaby for Holly to sink deeper into her sleep.
"Arthur would be happy to meet you," Holly muttered with her eyes half-open.
Felix stopped his movements when he heard that name again. He had not received an answer about who Arthur was.
"Who is Arthur? Is he your husband?"
Holly chuckled weakly. "He is the most handsome man in the world. He should know that now I am Queen." Holly didn't answer Felix's question. But before Felix asked again, she was already asleep.
"Wait, you need to eat." Felix just remembered. Thanks to Holly, the soup on the table had gone cold, and she was sleeping again.
Felix sighed. Never mind, he would wake Holly again later.
He stood back up. Just then, his eyes accidentally fell on Holly's dress. There was a red spot on it.
[Is she hurt?] Felix immediately checked before Holly woke up and said it was rude to lift a woman's dress. Strangely, Felix didn't smell blood.
"Oh..." Felix was speechless. He smelled the berries he had eaten with Holly at the lake.
He rolled Holly's body slowly. As expected, there were some crushed berries below her, leaving reddish spots on the clothes and blankets. Holly must have found this fruit in the yard. This kind of berries grew a lot around here.
However, Felix already understood why Holly was suddenly acting strange. Those berries were good, but they worked like alcohol. If you overeat, it will cause a drunk effect.
"You will surely regret what you did, My Queen." Felix stifled a laugh. He couldn't wait to see Holly's embarrassed expression when she came to her senses.
