Chapter 28: The First Date

Michael’s POV

I felt like a giddy school kid all over again. This was technically going to be my first date. I never had time to date before and when the opportunities did arise, I never found myself interested. I could barely contain my nerves as I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I had told Jane I was going to visit my mother for the day and thankfully she had no desire to join me.

"Calm down. I can hear your heartbeat from the kitchen," Jack said.

He entered the guest room with a plate of food, the steam visible in each bite he took. The plate made me second guess my excitement. Where was I going to take her? I wasn't up to date with the hangout spots for werewolves and humans. I wanted to take her someplace special, someplace she would never forget.

"What's wrong? It's all over your face."

Was I that obvious? All I wanted was for our first date to be perfect. After all, she went through with Kaden, she deserved a perfect date.
