At a blood-thirsty castle in Dover, England, the chief vampire Lazarus has taken a woman from her home and holds her captive. He needs the blood from her to keep him young and powerful.
Drusilla is loved by her husband and her daughter, Ambrosia, but when Lazarus turns her into a vampire, she has no idea that she had a past life. 
As time passes, after her mother's disappearance Ambrosia meets Nikolas, a young man. They fall in love, but it is finally revealed that Nikolas is Lazarus's son and is controlled by his father. Nikolas must find a way to turn Ambrosia into a vampire for his father's vampire kingdom, but he goes against his father's wishes and turmoil begins. 
Talon and Ambrosia must save Drusilla; the only way is for Talon to kill Lazarus. Will she be saved in time, or will she die in the vampire's abyss?

SECRETS IN THE SHADOWS

Clara tried to fight the vampire inside her, but she couldn't. As she ran through the woods, she started to turn back into herself, she kept running and running until she ended up at Talon's house. She broke in the front door and went into the living room, she passed out on the couch. 


Moments later Lazarus is standing right in front of her, she awakens to his face staring at hers, she jumps up, nervously.


"Did you do as I told you to do?" Lazarus asks.


"Ahh. I tried. All I could do was knock Talon out, then his daughter showed up and I couldn't." Clara replied.


"You're telling me that you could not get his blood, you did not suck the blood from his neck?" Lazarus said angrily.


"I'm sorry. I tried; I swear. I really tried!" Clara replied. 


"Where is Talon, and what did you do with his daughter?" Lazarus asked.


"I knocked both out. I left them by the park. Then I ran here. I did not know what else to do." Clara said.
