Chapter 38: Vampires' Slaying

They finish packing the carriage with their things, it will take about an hour to get to Dover from Canterbury on the horse and carriage. Nikolas guides the horse as they set out for Dover. They left a short time after it had gotten to be dark out, while they are on their way there they discuss where they will stay. None of them could figure out where to stay, then suddenly Talon tells them that they should just stay at his and Ambrosia's house.

At first, they were leery because Lazarus knows where they live, and he may try to do something to the house. Then they talk about how they will protect the house from Lazarus and if he tries to get inside. Their plan is to put metal bars on each window, board the doors, and put lit candles inside the house. About a half hour they will be back in Dover, Ambrosia starts to become a nervous wreck, she looks to Nikolas and says, "Nikolas you better not back out, I'm nervous about this."
