Chapter 10: The Unveiling

Tommy had made enough progress from his sessions with Emilia to finish her portrait. He hadn’t seen her since the night that she had thrown his sketches all over the floor. Sometimes, he still felt like she was watching him.

Sighing, Tommy focused his attention on the details of her face. He was determined to finish her portrait now, especially since it was the only way he could really see her now.

Even so, Tommy still felt like she was watching him sometimes. He wasn’t sure if that was because he hoped it was true or because it was. At least, he hoped she would come to the gallery showing of her portrait when it was complete.

The whole point of painting it was so she could see herself. He didn’t think that the sketches would have satisfied her curiosity.

When his phone started buzzing across the loft, Tommy groaned and tossed his paintbrush aside.

“What?” he asked when he answered.
