Chapter 43: The Plan

Tommy sat on the edge of Emilia’s bed, buttoning his shirt. She was still spread out across the mattress, arms and legs poking out from under the sheet, golden curls covering her smooth back.

“Time to get up, Emmy,” he said reaching over and gently slapping her on the butt.

“What for?” she groaned, hugging the nearest pillow and nuzzling her face into it.

“You’re just stalling now. We need a plan, remember,” he said.

Emilia rolled over and kicked the sheet off her body, blue eyes turning to ice daggers as she stared at the cave ceiling.

“I’ve been thinking all day and I don’t have any answers,” she admitted.

Tommy sighed. He laid back down on the bed, stretching lengthwise next to her and propping himself up on his elbow.

“Go over the details with me. Maybe something new will shake loose,” he offered.
