“They can’t do this.” I cried. Carson held me tightly while gently rubbing my back. We had stepped out onto the side terrace for a minute to talk. It was a huge decision. I couldn’t give up being a witch. And I could never let Carson give up being a wolf. So that only left one option.
“What other choice do we have?” he asked kissing my forehead.
“We can’t just give up our bond. What if…” I began, but I was unable to finish.
“What if it changes how we feel about each other?” Carson asked finishing my thought. I sighed looking up at him.
“I mean it’s possible right?” I asked tears pooling behind my eyes.
“No, it’s not.” he replied pulling my face toward his. “Everything that has happened between us, has nothing to do with some magical ceremony. I love you because I love you.” He smiled gently kissing me.
