Stop lying

Li mansion...

"Ivy! Ivy! Wait up!!" Mia said, trying to catch up with her.

'How could a human walk this fast and that too in heels. I'm an actress, aren't I supposed to be the one walking fast in heels?' she thought and ran because she couldn't keep up with the speed of her friend.

She climbed up the stairs and was already at the top while she was ten steps below her. Ivy didn't think twice before leaving her friend and heading for her room.

Qin Empires...

"Ivy Li... 25 years old... CEO..." he was already getting frustrated as he ran his hand through his black hair. Why couldn't he find any useful information about this woman? "Damn it!" he cursed through gritted teeth as he stood up forcefully and the chair almost fell.

'You need my help... let's get married... seven days.' Those words kept playing in his head over and over again.

Mia knocked on the door to her room. She knew that her friend didn't like it when someone entered her room without seeking permission or knocking.

No reply or sign of the door opening was heard. She then remembered what her friend did earlier, out of instinct, she pushed the door open. She scanned the room but found no trace of her. She then found Ivy on the balcony sipping what seemed to be tea.

She approached her hastily, Ivy just ignored her presence as she stood before her.

"Hey, I was talking to you, what were you t..."

"Who changed my clothes?" she asked through gritted teeth. She was dressed in a white big shirt that stopped mid-thigh. She was still wearing her black heels because she had removed them before jumping into the pool.

"I-I did," Mia answered. Ivy looked at her and a strange aura came from her. "It was just me and the doctor who was present." The dangerous aura increased. "It was a female doctor." She answered quickly and the dangerous aura coming from her dissipated to an extent.

"Please leave," Ivy said in an unusually calm manner. There was no single chilly or scary tone attached to it.

"And if you happen to see brother Ivan, he should be back by now, tell him I want to see him. It's been long." Ivy said as Mia nodded obediently. She wouldn't let this chance slip away. She couldn't remember the last time she spoke to anyone like this, except her brother. She only spoke to her in this manner occasionally.

Ivan, a real estate manager, the best in the country got contracts everywhere which made him travel country to country so he was hardly ever home.

As Mia closed the door behind her and turned to leave, she bumped into a tall figure. He had black hair, and the same Emerald eyes, just that his eyes were very calm and approachable compared to the ice Queen.

"Xiao Mei..?"

"Brother Ivan!" she exclaimed as she jumped and hugged him. "I've missed you so much. Where did you go this time?"

"Korea."

"North or South?" she asked as her pupils dilated.

"South," he chuckled lightly. He knew how much she loved South Korea.

"Really?!" she exclaimed. "Did you bring any food along?"

"No," he said as he formed a sad face. Her once happy face suddenly became sullen.

"Did I say no? I'm sure I brought something," he said bringing out a plate of delicacies; Kimchi, Bibimbap, Gimbap, and her favorite sweets; Yakgwa, Gyeongdan, and Hotteok.

He brought it before her eyes and her pupils dilated once again, even wider than before as she snatched it away from him like it was running away or as if he'll change his mind about giving it to her. She never really got the chance to go out and enjoy herself because she got so many roles from being an actress, she used most of her free time visiting her friend or just troubling her.

He chuckled once again. "Thank you so much brother," she said and she devoured her Kimchi.

"Oh my God!" her eyes widened. "It's so yummy, what about K-pop idols, I love them so much, especially my fav, 7-boys, and Blue Violet."

"Huh? what's that?"

"Oh never mind brother, you'll never understand. But next time, you must take Ivy and me along," she said with a serious face.

"Does she love K-pop too?"

"Not really. She likes it but doesn't love it. Let's just say she has a neutral feeling towards it," she said in a somewhat sad manner. "But she loves the food, especially the sweets."

"Good thing I didn't give you everything," he muttered under his breath.

"Huh?" she raised her face from her food to meet his gaze.

"It's nothing," he replied almost immediately.

"OMG, Ivy will kill me. She asked me to call you and I kept you here," she said panicking. "Please don't tell her I kept you here, please," she pleaded.

"It's alright little one, she won't know," he said placing his hand on her head in a doting manner.

"Thank you, bye brother," she said as she ran through the hallway, down the grand stairs.

"..." he pushed the door open. He scanned the room and saw her outside on the balcony. He tiptoed gently to surprise her.

"Brother Ivan!" she stood up suddenly and turned to face him to his dismay.

'Oh shit! how does she do this?' he thought and Ivy jumped to hug him?

"What took you so long? did M..."

"No, no, no nothing as such, I just wanted to freshen up before meeting my cute little angel," he said, pinching her cheeks lightly.

Ivy looked at him, scanning him for what seemed like an eternity until she finally spoke.

"Stop lying brother. Why try when you can't even do it,"

"W-what! h-how did you know?" he asked, shock written all over his face.

"Oh, please it's written all over your face, even a blind man could see that," she said and his face flushed bright red.

"And just look" she continued. "You even brought your bag. Could it be more obvious?" she said as she took his bag and opened it as her she widened her eyes.

"Oh my..." she asked as she looked at the content of the bag.

"I love you so much, brother," she said and she jumped upon him and hugged him tighter than before.

She hastily opened the plate of Hotteok and started devouring it.

Who would have thought that this ice queen had a soft side.
